You wouldnt catch me wearing a £30 helmet now though, Id prefer my brain to stay inside my skull, not smeared all over the road thumbsLaughing

You're going to spend £200~ on a Nitro lid?? Rolling Eyes

Why would you even be looking at Nitro lids if you had £200 to spend?
You can buy an AGV S4, or an entry level Arai for that..

Should I be Worried!

Just bought 1st ever Nitro priced, £50. It fits well and is of the gold motorsport standard.

Would I really be better Crash protected by spending more money?? Bearing in mind I have a pretty cautious riding style.

...And not planning on doing any trackdays anytime soon,, lol.

Dont panic mate, all Im saying is that they are a budget helmet manufacturer.. Any lid should have all the relevant stamps for UK road use if sold as such, and will be safe to use..
Personally though, I ride every day and im happy to pay the premium for the peace of mind and quality I get from a more expensive lid.. We all have to start somewhere though, and a £50 Nitro lid was all I could afford when I first started riding, so I can appreciate why people buy them.(I dropped mine alot anyway Embarassed)
My advice to anyone would be to buy the best helmet that you can afford, its what will save your life in the event of an accident.

Oh, and dont be lured into a false sense of security just because you ride cautiously or defensively, other people on the roads will still drive like twats, regardless of how you ride Laughing

First helmet I had was a HJC. Paid £160. Very comfortable helmet and enough space to fit an intercom if you need one. Always handy for passing comments about what you see Twisted Evil. Comfortable helmet. I have a Nitro now, with the internal visor. Not as comfortable to wear as the HJC, but then it was half the price!?
