day101 0 Posted March 19, 2011 Was looking at it the other day when i was servicing the bike and looked at the front fork and one seal seams to be leaking very slightly. what do you think is the best option to do. is it safe to use at the moment before i get it fixed and how easy of a job it is? smilinjack 0 Posted March 19, 2011 If it's not too serious then fine-limp along for a bit until you have the cash or confidence to repair. Do not however neglect to do it.Is it an easy job? Subjective question. Would you do your own valve clearances? Change a set of plugs? Replace your brake pads? Give us some clues as to what you feel your mechanical competence is & you'll get an honest answer I'm sure. Also, what bike is it and where are you?

Bezzer 0 Posted March 20, 2011 You say you've got a Haynes. read the fork seals replacement and all will be clear....Just make sure you remember to undo the damper rod bolt at the base of the forks while you've still got the forks assembled and under pressure, if you don't do it then it spins and you can't get it out without a "special tool" either Suzuki or homemade. You will need new fork seals and fresh fork oil as you empty all the old out, it will seem like a new bike when you've done it.
