Time to let the cbr go.

Recommended Posts

Well, thought it was time to get rid of the cbr. Every time i ride the bike i'm in pain with my wrists, nothing seemed to help and i wasn't prepared to spend any more on a bike that will always be uncomfortable for me. Theres only one person on here who knows what bike im picking up on Saturday ( don't say what it is Chad!! ) but all i can say is its one of the 2 bikes i've always wanted to own ( Zed being one of them ) im excited Laughingbanana

Heres the lovely looking girl who is going though

Sounds sensible mate. Cracking looking bike, but if it's bad on the wrists, no use keeping it. I await pics of the new one. thumbsthumbs

Hmmmm,

You're not old enough to be having a mid-life crisis and start wearing a bandanna and fingerless leather gloves, so that rules out the cruisers.

You like carbon fibre exhausts too much to go for one of the retro models...

Gotta be the Tiger thumbs

You couldn't take the exhaust on the Scrambler, the Thruxton isn't iconic enough to be an 'always wanted' and I don't know what the 4th model is, so I'm going with a Bonny Huh

scrambler can have a arrow 2-1 exhaust fitted, same as all the triumph twin models.

4 models are

Scrambler
T100 ( spoked, 18" front wheel )
SE ( cast, 17" front wheel )
Thruxton

always wanted a cafe racer, always loved the bonny with full arrow exhaust ( 2-1 ) so yup.. got a thruxton with a few mods with 3,500 miles on the clock thumbs pics will be posted sat as soon as i pick it up partyparty

i know it does sound daft, always wanting what could be called a old mans bike, but theres just something about them. Its a 2010 model with about 3,500 miles on the clock, fly screen, full arrow 2-1 exhaust, mapped ( i believe ) filter, small bits and bobs and its in the best colour, Black!

you get the idea of the sound from the 2-1 in this ( albeit filmed inside )

Nah it don't sound daft just because someone else thinks it's an old mans bike, or horrible in any other way, it's what *you* like that counts. Not everyone's cup of tea, but at least you have enough spine to go with what you want thumbs

They really are cracking bikes, very underrated. Only thing that could change is the back wheel ( eyeing up a 5.5" rear as we speak )

I find it a bit odd as the RF has a five speed box , and then the GSXR has six , all the time i try to find the last one Laughing

thanks Smile managed to get a few more miles on her today, on the edge of the back tyre already which was a suprise Shocked handling is brilliant but would love a wider tyre on the back ( next mod maybe? 5.5" spoked? )
