Oldfart 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Six-time world champion Max Biaggi has this morning announced his retirement from racing. The Roman Emperor made the announcement at the Vallelunga circuit where he began his career quite by accident and was a great pains to say it was his choice to stop racing. "I'm calm because it was a deliberate choice and not forced. I have not been forced to leave: I decided to give space to another rider," said Biaggi. "My family has been important in the decision. I realized how many hours have I stolen from my children and my companion. It's time to give space to them." Biaggi's decision will more than likely mean Sylvain Guintoli will partner Eugene Laverty next season.
