opkay my ninja clutch would slip at around 5k meaning it was a pain to ride so i decided to take the old clutch out today to investigate first

and the friction plates have some meat on them. so why would it be slipping?
or do these look buggered in some people opinion?

How do I check springs and did oil change 2 months ago 10/40 I think. Semi synthetic
You need the manual chad to check the tolerances of you clutch plates/friction plates and springs all are measured to check the spec thumbs

Use to have a issue with my zed going into a false neutral, common problem with the ZX9R/Z1000 and its usually the 4th gear that does it. Never found a way around it but i didn't let it bother me. Was a cracking bike thumbs

I've always used Motul semi Chad and never had an issue so as suggested would check springs and plate thickness. Must be able to get the info somewhere online. scratch

I would make sure you have free play in the clutch cable or it might be you need a new cable as i have seen them stick before , first place i would look

Cables fine. It pulls away fine but slips when powers put on lots. So springs sums up surely?

no free play and it will slip just make sure you have some just because it pulls away it might not be right just had one on the RF forum and thats what it was on his bike fine up to 5,000 rpm and then it slip ,

thanks macie, got your tweet.

srings are on 72 so in tolerence. and so are pads etc.

very odd, talking to someone he said bit of 240 on the metal plates. and im thinking fresh oil. i put semi synthetic in not long before it went what if last oil was fully synthetic? it has got full service history so god knows what the shops put in it!

ok it could be plates the friction plate the solid metal bit is 2mm, there must be 1mm of friction plate either side making it 2.2mm, service limit is 2.2mm if i take it right? so im guessing they are too worn down??

bike has done 39k now, and i do ride it hard at times!

i sold my bandit to a mat, bit me in the backside anyway, i sold it with a fresh ticket, he took it out and killed the electrics then told everyone i sold him a bike that never run, yet he rode it with no licence. but all in the past fun fun
