Yes.. AZ is Arizona... A very warm state.. desert mostly. My brother lives there. It's where Kim (Kim and bailey) lives.. winters are very warm.. 70 or so.. and summers are cruel.. above 100... but very little humidity.. and it's our dream place.. as soon as Mark is done working

My friend is now on the phone, reading out an article about 1000 thread count percale bed sheets ??? (there could be a prize for guessing why - but even I can't figure that one out!) congratulations

It is! But I can't imagine drinking that the entire day, so I've made some tea (about 1 liter) to drink when I'm studying. Keeps me warm too lol

KB!!! That's been a long time!

Sorry Frannie, I don't have that bow Sad

So that's why I've been having too much energy!
I don't like green tea on it's own, tastes too bitter, so I've added other flavors like apple and it's a really good combination!
Chai tea. No idea what that is : D

sorry guys - computer crashed on me (still not fixed like it was promised)

I LOVE green tea - especially the flavored ones (apart from jasmine) and I drink it hot in winter and iced in summer.

I love Chai too - I drink it without milk though

Chai is a really dark black tea (like coffee) that is spiced. SO GOOD! you should look it up when you go to the mrket next time. Most people drink it with sugar and milk, and it goes great iced too!!

i drink it both ways bee, i like less milk when its hot, and more when its iced though. one of my fav drinks!

Masala chai (Hindi मसाला चाय: masālā cāy, "spiced tea") is a beverage from the Indian subcontinent made by brewing tea with a mixture of aromatic Indian spices and herbs.[1]

By itself, chai is merely the generic word for tea in Hindi, Punjabi and many other languages around the world, and was adopted into British slang as "cha" or "char". However, for many English speakers who refer to ordinary tea as "tea", the word "chai" is a relatively recent addition to their vocabulary and automatically implies "masala chai".

interesting fact that I didn't know about Chai - what would we do without Wikipedia?

....
Main article: milk

Usually, whole milk is used for its richness. Generally, masala chai is made by mixing 1/4 to 1/2 parts milk with water and heating the liquid to near-boiling or even full boiling. As previously mentioned, some people like to use condensed milk in their masala chai to double as the sweetener.
Spices and cut tea leaves
[edit] Spices

The traditional masala chai is a bracing, strongly spiced beverage brewed with so-called "warm" spices. Most masala chai incorporates one or more of the following: cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves.

Traditionally, cardamom is a dominant note, supplemented by other spices such as cloves, ginger, or black pepper; the latter two add a pleasantly piquant flavour. In India, fresh ginger is often used.

However, in Western India, star anise and black pepper are expressly avoided.[citation needed] The Kashmiri version of chai is brewed with green tea instead of black tea and has a more subtle blend of flavorings: almonds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and sometimes saffron.

Other possible ingredients include nutmeg, rose flavouring (where rose petals are boiled along with the loose-leaf tea), or liquorice root.

Thank you Anastasia, Robin isn't on line that much, but has already been asked privately to amend her link.
As I've said before, unless the members here were already on PSFC previously, they are known to me, and it is dealt with in due course as they come back on line. In the meantime, please rest assured that there is nothing that should cause you any alarm.
