@dick65 wrote:@gravelrash wrote:If you use a magnet tank bag its a good idea to put some clear vinyl sheet on your tank to protect your paint from grit caught under the magnet
i cut some cloth the same shape as the base of the bag and fixed it on you can also use non slip mat- don't really have a problem with debris as my fairings that wide
I'm with Mike on this one, clear vinyl stuck to the tank because grit could get between a cloth/non slip mat and the tank and also a flapping cloth can cause marks on the tank.

@Chadatious wrote:mate tried it on his bike with no jerry can , he didnt think about that bit.
and thats good how big is the tank?
23l which includes 5l reserve, not having a fuel gauge i know i can do 200 miles before having to get fuel -
Been wanting to know how many miles i can get out of my tank, so over the past couple of days haven't bothered refueling. 224 miles then i had to switch to reserve, i think if i'm careful i could see 300 miles including the 5l reserve tank. Going to try it one day, will have to strap a full 5l jerry can to the rack and just see how far i get -
