Mind you, an ex colleague used to keep one for his company car fuel useage, even down to analysing MPG differences across brands vs pence per litre costs over 4 years... now that *is* too anal He also used to record his tyre pressures every other day. It's fair to say that I have never met anyone so in need of a dirty girlfriend

In Real Life, as opposed to online wibbling Cheers for that, yeah just noticed your location - all of 3 miles away! I only tend to go to a couple of meets a year - mainly to remind me why I don't go to bike meets unless there is a ride involved or I'm supposed to hook up with someone there. Each to their own and all that, but I prefer riding around or fettling to just loitering looking at shiny bits on shiny bikes. I happened to be at MFN the other week and it was painful but plenty of material for people watching.

Thanks for the friendly welcome peeps Never been much of a fan of web forums for various reasons but I've been making a concerted effort to get into them over the past few weeks and while most were quickly discounted due to the signal to noise ratio, this one seems worth sticking with, so I'll loiter around for a while if nobody minds. I don't think that I know anyone from here, I just stumbled across this place via Twitter, but if anyone local ever needs a hand IRL then just shout. Love n hugz etc.

Gave up with the likes of Muc-Off and loony expensive motorcycle shampoos years ago. Nowadays if there is significant filth around I use a non-caustic TFR from Wholesale Cleaning Supplies in Leicester [1][2] which will dilute to 1:40, but 1:20 is plenty strong enough to remove a months worth of Scottoiler induced rear wheel crud, so works out to about 32p a litre. Non caustic so OK on shiny bits. For mild levels of filth, or to finish of with, Fenwicks FS1 has been my weapon of choice. Safe on shiney bits. About 80p a litre from cycling stylee outlets, such as Discount Cycles Direct or Wiggle. [1] Mainly because they are local [2] Wouldn't let me post a direct link, so Google is your friend.
