Sitting here mouth wide open... Am listening to the weather forecast...
Seems we are going to have a beautiful weekend (21°C tomorrow)...

Sister invited herself over for a BBQ...
(sigh)

Wow 21 - Hot, hot hot...it's very warm here - even tonight it's warm enough to sit outside (although, we sit outside anyway even if it's not really warm enough - OH is from Scotland after all LOL)

Hope you have a fab BBQ BG

We are off to the pub for a meal out tomorrow - our neighbours invited us.

Oh but a BBQ will be lovely BG, and yes, our forecast is good too, but it's still so cold at night.

Wish, will send all the TWS, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the Hideeni heads up...was just away chatting about tomorrow with OH, whilst half an eye on Great British Menu - we've decided on Blue Bird on the Kings Road for drinks.

I'll try to make the best out of it (lots of things happened the last couple of days - don't want to talk about it), but yes, a BBQ is always nice!

Am making Mom a bracelet in the meantime

Am also watching GBM - love it - but missed hald of it, cos I have one eye on the dinner.

I don't really know London that well - we hardly ever go (I hate it LOL)
Lunch sounds good though !

BG - are Belgian BBQ's the same a UK ones, that is

- men ALWAYS do the cooking (and never the preparation or the clearing up)
- Beer, beer and more beer
- Meat, meat and more meat
- everyone makes a salad, but no-one eats it
????

hehehe Wish : D

- men indeed do the cooking
- we usually drink wine, Dad mostly drinks a beer when he's cooking
- lots and lots and lots.... of meat : D
- we make a salad and on the contrary, we eat it!

(and afterwards there's me sitting near the BBQ because I'm cold AND I'm roasting marshmallows - I love my sweets)

LOL - thanks BG - it's true then, the BBQ transcends all other cultural differences (apart from the salad).

I noticed in OZ that the protein is WAY more important than the carbs - my OH is the same - a plate of meat keeps him happy. I prefer a mixture of protein, carbs and good stuff ............I'm not a huge fan of eating outside, but I do love the social side of it all and the relaxing, lively element !

BTW - I'm so happy to be back in my little zone - here with you two, just before dinner. I've really missed it

oh the only downside from eating outside, I think, are the insects (and wasps...) or if there's a lot of wind

I don't like much meat, the only things I eat from the BBQ are sausages, lots of chicken (filet, brochette) and bacon - and always ask for a piece of lamb if Dad's having some (such a different taste if it comes from the BBQ)

OK back.

Our BBQs don't involve vast quantities of meat - usually perhaps two meats on the grill, say 3 salads and a couple of vegetables, plus some kind of interesting bread - and we eat it all. Usually OH cooks the meat on the grill and we eat in the kitchen with the door open.

We both love London, but are selective about where we go - love the food culture and the general multi cultural buzz. It's just an hour on the train, so it's not a big deal.

We always have way too much meat tbh and special bread as well (we get baguettes, but there's also bread with basil, oregano and so on)

Oh my life - someone's running the London Marathon on Sunday with an Angle of the North on his back ...he's never going to make it, infact he can only speed walk, grimacing as he goes.

BG do Google images for Angel of the North

Well, he's not running with the REAL AotN on his back - a model obv, but still ridiculously tall (and heavy by the look)

Enjoy your weekend Wish, and make sure to rest.

I also have to finish off dinner, it's not long before it'll be ready.

Will try and look in later x

I have 77 pages in my chest ....

if you go to each individual tab, the #'s are .. 2, 11, 12, 9, and 6 .... That does not make 77 ???
