It actually does work. If the cola has been opened, some of the carbonation will have escaped and the effect would not be so great. But the experiment does actually work.

My husband wanted to try it at a friend's place (she works as a Lab Technician at a company near here) and she said 'NO WAY!'.

well if any of you has a garden (so the house will not need... renovations! ) try it either with mentos or with salt there! But e sure that the coke is opened a few seconds before you do it!

not necessarily Laz.. it's a chemical reaction with the mentos and another one with the salt.. Both combine doesn't necessarily make a greater effect.. The could give no effect actually!

Like soap.. Bubble soap. If you fill in a tub and pur some you'll get bubbles but if then we throw regular soap the bubbles start to go away. Yet the are both soaps

haha we tried to mix coca cola and mentos and had not high fountain

and also we mixed mountain dew,peroxide and baking soda and liquid in bottle glowed

You can only get the effect when you open the coca cola quickly, put the mentol candy in it and quickly close it. Then sha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ake it we-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ell. Once you open it, it'll be a phenomenon.
