Raymond 0 Posted June 22, 2009 The Stig - the mystery racing driver of the BBC's Top Gear programme - was unmasked last night as Michael Schumacher.The German seven-times former Formula One champion dramatically took off the Stig's famous white helmet and winked during an interview with presenter Jeremy Clarkson.The studio audience had urged him to reveal his true identity chanting "off, off, off" after Schumacher, 40, made a surprise appearance on the show.But the unveiling may have been a hoax. Many viewers were unconvinced, believing that the white overalls and helmet are shared by several drivers.A BBC insider admitted it was done "as a joke."
