Brockhouse Corgi

Recommended Posts

seen these before at the vintage motor scooter club events, think they where made in southport area around the 40's and the armed forces toyed with dropping them out of planes for the soldiers to use....maybe wrong though.

Hi All

Its a 1948 Brockhouse Corgi, The civilian sucessor to the welbike that they used to drop on a parachute.

Brockhouse was quite a large company, They made trailer for the army and owned some quite well known bike makers. I think they even owned Indian at one point. You could also buy a "leaning" sidcar for it.
Ilove little bikes as much a large ones and have a modernish version (1975)in the Italjet Pack 2.
