Couple of days in Germnay

Not with the bike however. Bit of training at Brother's European HQ in Emmerich am Rhein. Fly to Amsterdam, train to Arnhem, meet the Krauts there. I'd have liked to have visited the bridge at Arnhem, doubt there'll be time. My uncle Roy was in that raid, got away by swimming across the Rhine with shrapnel in his leg I may not bother with my pooter so play nicely until I get back

I did the battlefield tour of a "Bridge too far" with the Army. Took a whole weekend was very touching and moving.

I was with an old soldier and as we were walking around he said "there lays my mate under that tree, shot and died" it was very humbling.

Try to get to the War museum at Arnhem.

Certainly is mate, but Emmerich's only about 15 miles over the border and this is supposed to be the easiest way. At least I get to blow my remaining expenses on cheap porn at Schiphol when I come back

Well in the end I did bring my pooter. Hotel window looks straight out onto the Rhine, which is like the M1! We just watched a container ship go by with close to 100 containers on it there's all sorts going along it. Coal, chemicals-beats queuing on a motorway somewhere I guess. Maybe post a pic or two tonight. Just off to start my training session, still labouring after last night's monster pizza. It was as big as a car wheel man! Laters all
