Tony nitrous 0 Posted November 19, 2011 B-King's a crap pillion bike.Small seat, high peg's, no grab rail, and the bodywork stops them gripping with their legs. mine had the pillion seat and foot peg hangers removed year's a go. Hangers are only on 2 bolts each side and it looks neater without them.Ex-wife and ex-partners all rode their own bikes.New partner hasn't been on a bike, but says she will at some time. dick65 0 Posted November 19, 2011 MOT failure over here with no rear pegs if you got provision for a pillion,i found that out with my old bandit.
Chadatious 0 Posted November 19, 2011 Dick you only need pillion pegs if there's a seat. Some people take them off and match with a seat cowl and it won't fail

Tony nitrous 0 Posted November 20, 2011 Over here if you remove the pillion seat and the rear peg's you can get it inspectedand registered as "single seat compliance"and your anual road tax go's down by half.
Tony nitrous 0 Posted November 20, 2011 Our rego sticker (similar to your tax disc)includes basic insurance cover for any injury you may cause. This mean's im legal to ride/drive ANYTHINGthat is tax'ed, although its very basic cover. The theory behind cheap single seat rego isyou cant hurt or put a claim in for a pillion if you cant carry one, = cheaper rego. Tony nitrous 0 Posted November 20, 2011 No annual MOT in Qld, although I think someof the lower states have one. You only need an MOT (Safety Cert) to get number plates for an unregistered bike or to sell a bike with the number plates withit. You can hand the plates back in and sellit "unregistered", no plates or roadworthy/safety cert.My Mobile MOT tester come's around the house and writes it up whilst I get him a beer/coffee. madcarper 0 Posted November 20, 2011 now why can't our government have a sensible motoring policy like yours. i'll tell you why cos they too concerned with health and safety and screwing you for as much as possible, just wait till next year when they put 30p on fuelwith the rises the petrol companies udoubtably put on it's going to be £10 a gallon. petrol theft and running on red is going to be rife . surely policing that is going to negate a lot of it???? you did the right thing getting out tonynitro.back on topic sorry about the misses dave she's never going to relax and enjoy being on the back of the king ,but do you really want anyone on it with you i would say ...let me think....noooo!!
