BanditMike 0 Posted March 14, 2012 The more the merrier . Hopefully got a few other lads coming as well. Will try and scope out what response he's had this week.
BanditMike 0 Posted March 16, 2012 We've got a group for the ride so we're a go for this . It'll be about 160m, so not a massive run. When he sends the route will try and put it on here. Will sort meets etc in a week or two, if people still going. See you then

BanditMike 0 Posted April 6, 2012 Rough route is as follows:-Swalwell - Kielder - Newcastleton - Gilsland - Plenmeller - Allenheads - Rookhope - Eastgate - Edmondbyers - Slayley - Dilston - CorbridgeIt's about 163 miles. It's a 09:30 start from our Swalwell depot so I'll be away from Stockton around 08:30. Easy ride, no rush. At the end I'll probably just keep along the 689 and head home rather then head north to Corbridge to come back over again. If anyone is interested reply, or PM me, and will arrange to meet. I'm only going if weather is good, so will see what happens.Full route if you can follow it!?):Time Mile Instruction For Toward09:00 0.0 Depart near Swalwell on Local road(s) (East) 09:00 0.1 At BanditMike 0 Posted April 10, 2012 Unfortunately, bottled this one. Looked at the forecast and decided against it. Every forecast said rain so decided that a dry bike was better than a wet one (bike)!? Did a brief 70 mile with my Dad yesterday just out for a quick cuppa then back home. Got back just before the rain started so good timing The ride back felt better than the ride out. Anyone else feeling a bit rusty and tentative after the long lay off? Given that I think I did the right thing not going. Get "back into it" first
fr499y 0 Posted April 10, 2012 find that after a few weeks it takes me a few minutes to get back to my old self! bit more edgy when riding for the first time in a few weeks
BanditMike 0 Posted April 11, 2012 Same here. Felt had to re-learn where to put the bike and get the feel back for the road positioning. Straight line was fine
