Tony nitrous 0 Posted April 24, 2012 Lots of morning services, parades and marches. Its good to remember. My future farther-in-law is a Vietnam vet.All taken very seriously out here, unlike most Aussie hol's which are an excuse for a good BBQ and p#ss up !I might be a Pommie but I still give thanksto the Aussie "Diggers"... I like the fact they made it a public holiday in their memmory.

Robbie 0 Posted April 25, 2012 I was reading an article in the paper today about Anzac day, It was an interview with an x Brit who had had enough of England with all the benefit scroungers and the way our politicians are scared to even mention immigration let alone close the doors. Anyway it made interesting reading when he compared honouring the war dead, over here we get a 2 minute silence but in Aus' it's a public holiday. He went on to say a lot more with comparing the 2 countries.I would have been "down under" myself as my parents were in the process of emigrating back in the late 70's but my gran had a heart attack and that was it, my mum called it all off as she didn't want to leave.
