Carb balancing

Can any one on here help I need to balance carbs but have no kit would be very gratefull if some one could come help free tea and biscuits involved

Got a Carbtune mate and I'm only in Nottingham. Hardest part for me is time TBH. What bike is it?

Fund part of my problem being I've lost the valve balance screw and trying to find screw size I being a nightmare I have the rf900 manual same engine except the 900 has hydraulic clutch system at min bike sat in garden as when it start few seconds it floods I'm useless with carbs

If you mean the screw in the middle that balances the carbs in pairs that has to be a standard Metric screw. I've probably got something in my toolbox. Smile

If it's flooding that's not balancing mate. That sounds more like leaking/stuck float, needle or bowl. They need to come off and be serviced I'd suggest.

If fuel is coming out of the cabs the they will need to be took apart and cleaned , will be a stuck needle valve , cant balance them with fuel coming out of them . so have a go its not that bad thumbsthumbs

I'm missing the balance screw need to no size and thread it's of a mikuni bst36ss can't find size anywhere does anyone knw the sizing of this bolt

by sir Rob on a bandit but the RF is the same pm your address as i have a screw of a old bank of 900 carbs
on the RF take the air box of and set tickover to 1,800
look at the link

thats because they are a mile out of balance . if you take the air box of and lift the sliders you will see the butterfly,s now get them all set by eye , i can get them almost spot on like this then put the vacuum gauge on to set dead right ,

ive got the same problem on my xj it just revs to 4000 was 9000 but improved when i cleaed the carbs thumbs
