Guy on another forum got an invite to the Superchaged H2 Kwak press day / test ride.
he's ridden anything worth riding as a comparison.
he just posted this....

"Sorry folks, getting on a plane shortly to come home. Its been a hectic 36 hours, but the very very short version is
The pre launch hype was justified
It really does handle
It goes like f**k
It sounds amazing
People who were expecting a lardy one trick pony are going to have to dismiss it on looks now.
Price isnt even an argument as its the same as a panigale s."

Out today, on the B-King.
Was a bit too hot though.

Found a bit of shade by a creek and cooled off.
Nice place and quite close to home..

nice, they would fit a few houses on a plot that size back here Shocked
just read an article in this weeks motorcycle news about riding in Tasmania. looks good, less policeing of bikes and only 500,000 people in a place half the size of England with some great roads. shame its so far away. not too far for you tony have you been there.

Not been to Tassie but its on my to do list.
My Mrs has been there about 5 times and loves it.

Both the local Hayabusa and GSX1400 clubs have done rides down there.
It's a fair hike from Qld though!
It's about a 1,100 MILES to drive to Melbourne to catch the ferry over!
(And that not a very interesting ride either)

An interesting read about Tassie is the book by Paul Carter
"Ride like Hell and you'll get there" quite entertaining.

It was an eye opener when I arrived but its one thing I've gotten used to.
I quite enjoy doing distance now.
A few recent examples, all car / bike not flights.

Went to a birthday party in Ayr, 782 miles North.

Went for a meal with some mates in Dubbo 560 miles South (naked bike / pillion)

Drove 863 miles South to Albury to do a 4 hour job!

Took my partner to Port Douglas, 1094 miles North in a little Mitsubishi Lancer.

Was working at Boggabri NSW, 394 mile drive to site.

Took a ute to Roma to swap it with one already there, 600 mile round trip for work.

My favorite Italian resteraunts is Anna's in Stanthorpe, 139 miles away.

Got a group ride coming up in a few weeks,
It starts at Walcha NSW, 331 miles from home.

One of my customers recently bought a ute in Perth.
He flew over, paid for it and drove home.
The trip back was a bit over 2700 miles.

Been having fun on my new toy, even though the weather is crap and its plastered in salt.

Used it a few times in its 'A'dvanced most which basically makes the throttle VERY sharp, and boy does it accelerate bloody quickly! I had a little google search and the 0-60 time on it is 2.7s!! thats a mere 0.2s slower than a busa Shocked

Also makes it the fastest production Yamaha 0-60mph so far ( no times for the new R1/R1M yet ) The top speed isn't huge at 130ish mph but the acceleration more than makes up for it Laughing

Had the ECU mapped back end last week which has smoothed the throttle in STD mode ( which was one of the bikes downfalls ) so now the bikes enjoyable in all riding modes. Can't wait to open it up on twisties and have some fun! Very Happy Roll on summer

She's smaller than my hand, about 3/4 of the size.
Quite friendly, well... she doesn't flee or get aggressive.

This isn't one of my pics, just a google, but there
are several pics around of them catching birds.

I don't mind the big spiders.
It's the little buggers like red backs that make me cautious.

When you've just been into 5 man holes and killed red backs in every one
and your about to jump into the 6th man hole,
You know what to expect, but it still keeps thing interesting.

Finally managed to test the new bike two up with the misses!! for some strange reason it actually rides better two up Shocked Need to get a new seat as its like riding on a plank of wood, the pillion section is pretty much a plank of wood ( less than a inch thick! )

Seriously pissed off today. Been waiting on some livestock to turn up which was sent via express 24 on monday. Still nothing today, phoned up the courier and they have no trace of the parcel getting to them which is funny seeing as it was scanned at their depo on Monday evening! Phoned up local depo and they said, yep Exeter have it at their end. So back to them again, Nope... never recieved it, wasn't collected from the sender. So how the hell do you have a tracking number and scanned it at the national hub and then again at the Exeter depo? Only a few hundred down the drain, because no parcels till Tuesday, and then IF it did arrive it would be DOA! Not like it was £20 or £50 worth ( still bad enough ) but its a few hundred. I would say its worth paying the extra locally, but no where has what i was after censoredcensoredcensored

75 zoa heads, 2 mini anemones. on average you're looking at £1.50 a zoa's head! and the anemones are roughly £35 each.

I wanted a Dumbo Rat, funny buggers crack me up,
Like having a cartoon character.

AU is a bit funny about importing them though,
we have an awful history of wildlife disasters from
bringing in non-native species.

Zoanthid ? ( living coral? )

Yup you got it. Put it simply Dave/Chad, 75 of these at £1.50 a pop!

I still find it fascinating how the toxins one of these can release ( well Palys to be exact, not normal zoas ) can kill you.
