12 YEAR OLD HAS BEEN SHOT (UPDATE)

Hello fellow prayer warriors!

Please keep the 12 year old son of a classmate of mine in your prayers. His name is Jacob. He and his 15 year old brother, Forrest, were hunting (I don't think they were without adult supervision) and Forrest accidentally shot Jacob. They were airlifting him to one of the hospitals in Northern Alabama, but they had to make a stop at another hospital along the way to stabilize him. His bowels are all torn up and that is prohibiting them from operating on him right now.

Keep his mother, Renee, and his father, Tate, in your prayers as well. Forrest is really taking it hard. They need our prayers.

Below is an update I copied from the "Prayer for Jacob Ray and Family" group about his condition. There are spaces between the posts. It doesn't give a date and time of the entries. It seems like they work bottom up with the most current being first...

• they took the vent, awake, hugging, thirsty, hungry, won't let him have water yet....God is Good We give all the credit to You
  
• Jacob is doing so much better he is hugging family they are going to take off vent, close him up where they had left open, as he is healing, he has along road ahead with more repair surg down the road Thank you to everyone for your prayers he continues to need them but Prayers are answered and they are miracles Than...k you Lord for prayers answered..we give all the credit to the Lord Jacob is still in Your Hands
  
• Jacob is going to be alright; Doctors just came out andtold them that the kidney and the aorta was just knicked and the bowel duct wasn't as bad as thought. He is gonna be Alright they said. God is good all the time God is good He and his family still need our prayers...he has a way to go but he is strong and he is in Gods' Hands
  
• UPDATE on JACOB he is now at Children's Hosp in Birm'h....He was stable....but am getting news that may be problems...they are takin him back to surgery, his vitals don't look good....everyone is up there and more on the way. Please everyone...PRAY...will keep updated....GOD IS IN CONTROL
  
• Jacob has been moved from pedicatric ICU into ICU, he is still improving,thirsty, they are feeding with tube a little...to see how it is tolerated...he wants to know who is writing on his wall...we appreciate all the prayers and post...Prayers are answered, continue to pray he has a way to go but we are so thankful for The Lord has done for Jacob....God is in Control

My mom called and said Jacob is doing better. He is no longer on the ventilator. They have tubes in him suctioning the loose bowels and everything. They won't be able to operate until they get it under control but they are very,very hopeful.

Thanks for your continued prayer and I will continue to update you as I get information.

Praise you God! Heal Jacob's body completely Jesus, 100%. Thank you Jesus that your blood was shed on the cross for Jacob. Give Jacob that life-giving, healing blood of yours Jesus, so that it can flow through his body and heal everywhere it flows, getting into the crack and crevices. I pray for a transfusion of your blood to flow through this young man. Oh the blood of Jesus.....thank you for taking it on the cross for Jacob 2000 years ago, so that he can be healed today. Thank you Jesus, You wonderful, precious miracle worker! Oh, we love you so much!
