Cloud 0 Posted June 21, 2011 Which of these two things is God more likely to chastise someone over:1. Looking at porn2. NOT looking for a job?
daphanie02 0 Posted June 22, 2011 neither. He just wants us to come to Him...seek Him first and all else shall be added. None of us are "clean" when we find the Lord. Sometimes it seems we are at our lowest points when we are found by Him. It is during these times that His grace is so huge. NOTHING can seperate us from His love! When we were yet sinners, he died for us. I have read so many of your posts and cant help but feel that you keep beating yourself up. FIRST meet with Jesus...He will help you with the rest! Just seek him out and quit worrying about being "good enough" for Him. None of our works or anything we can do ourselves will ever make us perfect. That's why he sent Jesus...Jesus made the way. Jesus makes us clean...
daphanie02 0 Posted June 22, 2011 When you have truly met the Lord, you will want more and more of him! He changes us completely! Sin is still a struggle...but His word helps us get through it! I just cant stress enough how important it is for you to seek HIM...not the "rules"...nothing else but Jesus..I pray that you find Him and that condemnation from the enemy is far from you. Cloud 0 Posted June 22, 2011 yeah...WHY is God chastising me like this? God is chastising me in the form of me:1.) having NO job/direction/aspirations of a career2.) having NO social life

God is chastising me in the form of me:1.) having NO job/direction/aspirations of a career2.) having NO social lifeThere is no condemnation in the Lord...what you are feeling is from the enemy. God doesnt give you feelings of condemnation. When he chastises us, we feel better because he also builds us up and edifies us. The devil will tear you down and make you feel like you aren't good enough. It's obvious you are frusterated. That's why I wanted to encourage you to seek the Lord. This website is intended to help people reach out to the Lord FIRST. We dont interpret dreams...we encourage you to reach out to the Lord first and add our own thoughts to try and help sometimes, or IF the Lord gives us something then we share...That's why I said everything I've said. You need to go to Him. Nothing will make sense until you meet with the Lord.
daphanie02 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Personally, I feel like we have worked hard enough on this website that there is enough material here that if someone were to read it all, they would have enough insight on how to understand their own dreams and visions by seeking God first on the answers. This site is here to bring confirmation and to encourage people. Also, please dont take this personally..but the dreams you have posted don't have enough details for me to understand the meaning of. You always want a word from the Lord and I see people countlessly giving you words that are Spirit filled and helpful and directly from our Lord. So please dont insist that you are being left out. The Lord loves you and is giving you all the tools you need. It's up to you to believe them and recieve them...and all that takes is faith.
Cloud 0 Posted June 22, 2011 i don't know...i would never underestimate the lengths God might go to to get someone to get rid of their sin. everytime i try to get a job...something goes wrong. everytime i try to maybe date someone....i start feeling uneasy. Cholette 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Cloud, I think you need to pay really close attention to what Daphanie has said here. The reason why things may not be going right for you is you are condemning yourself. You've already considered yourself unworthy for the job or from the relationship just because of how you feel about your sin. You are the ONLY one who is remembering your sins when God remembers them no more... For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” (Hebrews 8:12) If you think about Condemnation, the root word is "Condemned". When something is condemned...like a building...a person rules it unworthy to exist so they tear it down or demolish it. The devil has convinced you that you are not worthy to exist and instead of you blaming the devil for this lie, you have blamed God for the things that haven't worked out in your life. God isn't doing it...YOU are doing it....with your thoughts. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he..." (Proverbs 23:7) You have already told your self that YOU are not worthy for a job because of these areas that you struggle with. God has already said that in your weakness, HIS STRENGTH is made perfect. Check out this scripture in 2 Cor 12:8-10 (AMP version)... Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this and begged that it might depart from me; But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Then Paul said... Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength). What I would like to get across to you is that you are in the RIGHT place. You are in a place of weakness...which means, you can't do it...it takes the work of the Holy Spirit to do what you desire to get done. He doesn't do it in YOUR timing...he does it when the work is completed and when it's done, you will look up one day and realize that it's gone. When YOU try...it's temporary. Be STRONG IN THE LORD...and not in yourself. When you do this, which comes by you renewing your mind IN THE WORD OF GOD...then everything else begins to work out for you and fall into place...including the relationship. Trust me...if you are condemning yourself, you will begin condemning the woman God sends to you...eventually. Condemned people CONDEMN other people. I hope this helps you. Just sit with all that has been shared with you here and let it marinate. :0) One last scripture for the road... being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ...(Phil 1:6) BELEIVE THIS WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART!!! Cloud 0 Posted June 22, 2011 HelloIt's good that you share those scripturesBut I have to disagree...I'm NOT condemning myself. God is NOT "condemning" either....but CHASTISING me. It still hurts though...like Discipline is supposed to. Proverbs 3:11 "My child, don't reject the LORD's discipline, and don't be upset when he corrects you." Cholette 0 Posted June 22, 2011 You've got it all wrong Cloud...so sorry! Be blessed!
Cloud 0 Posted June 22, 2011 What do you mean I have it wrong? God's Discipline is SCRIPTURAL. The verse I already posted, plus:Hebrews 12:4-11In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a] 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
daphanie02 0 Posted June 22, 2011 In everything you post we are able to discern a hint of self condemnation....not just this post. We aren't trying to argue with you Cloud. We're just trying to help you. You keep asking these questions from the Lord and He provides the answers. Yet with each answer, you disagree or debate it. We are sharing things that the Lord has given us from His Holy Spirit.
daphanie02 0 Posted June 22, 2011 btw...NO ONE knows specificly why bad and frusterating things happen all the time. Sometimes the Lord gives a word through His prophets...sometimes He is silent. This is where we must learn patience. Everything happens for the good of those who love God. During hard times that last so long we must have faith and hold on to those words with all the faith and longsuffering in our hearts.
Cloud 0 Posted June 23, 2011 Alright...after reading all these posts and watching a good sermon by Joseph Prince...I conclude that I've been wrong. God's grace is sufficient to cover sin BUT...that very grace SHOULD be the motivating force for someone to STOP sinning.
Cholette 0 Posted June 23, 2011 Joseph Prince??? He's an excellent minister to listen to in order to help you through your questions. He will take you through the word and even break down the words in Hebrew for their original meanings. I'm praying for you Cloud. You have a powerful call on your life...and the fact that you struggle with these things, you will be able to help millions of people, in this "oversexed" world, get free. Just let God minister to you...PLEASE!!!! God has need of you! Blessings!
