Pie is usually pastry which can have either a sweet or savoury filling, unless, as Amy says it's Cottage Pie or Shepherd's Pie - which is basically the same thing, except shepherd's is made with lamb and cottage with beef mince!

i use beef in my pie as i don't like lamb but it is good all the same lol and now i am hungry for it , i think i will make it soon

here sheppards pie is hamburger,mashed potatoes&corn then baked in oven

im in library today and still cold lol
took me a good 2 hours yesterday to warm up after sitting outside for little over hour to be online. man what we do for internet

thats how i make it but i use a mixed vegetable in mine and a thick gravy i usually make a pan of tea biscuits with it to sop up the gravy

I make a mix of sauteed onion, diced carrot, seasoning and mince with chopped canned tomatoes in juice, worcestershire sauce and a tiny amount of balsamic vinegar. That's the base mix.
