You have to trade it for another ingredient...you cannot gift ingredients. Perhaps ask esperia what ingredient she is willing to trade for your egg.

Yup! You go to her restaurant, select the egg on the bottom (which is your inventory) then select an item in her's (the one that pops up) then press the tick.
