How you doin stue, neva add no luck getting bike back had to wait ages for the money from the insurance and they took the P*SS with the pay out, i needed transport asap and ther was nothing about bike wise that i could afford so ended up getting a little citreon VTS pretty Quick and cheap to run, its got full service history and taxed mot till late next year, plus its on an 02plate, was up for £1100 got it for £700 the lady that owened it just wanted to get rid of it because she had just leased a new car, not my choice of car really but was cheap, so gonna keep it a while then save some money and sell the car then buy a bike.

@BanditMike wrote:@stantheman wrote:our local paper was complaining about a bloke who got put in a police cell after having a fit the story was he took a fit in tescos durham and when the ambulance crew said he shouldnt drive home with his 4 year old son he ignored them so they phoned the police and he was locked up for his own and everyone elses safety now i call that sensible policing but he was bleating on about police brutality ;what if the idiot had another fit whilst driving
If he's had a fit, his licence should be revoked. I think you've got to go for three years without a fit to be able to drive? Problem with this it's typical of peoples perspective, "it's only round the corner, it'll be fine", they never think "what if I have another fit"!? n head

Have a read of this,
The driving regulations for epilepsy
Group 1 licences
This group includes cars, motorcycles and mopeds. To drive, you must meet all normal driving requirements and have been completely free of seizures for one year, either with or without taking anti-epileptic drugs. The regulations are different if you only have asleep seizures.
Group 2 licences
This group includes large goods vehicles (LGV or lorries), passenger carrying vehicles (PCV or buses and minibuses with nine seats or more) and horseboxes. To drive, you must meet all normal driving requirements and have been seizure-free, without taking anti-epileptic drugs, for the last 10 years. The DVLA will also need to be satisfied that you are not likely to have any more seizures.
Please note - the regulations are different for people who have a first and solitary (single) seizure.
Taxi drivers
Many local authorities apply the regulations for Group 2 licences to driving a taxi. However, each local authority decides on its own standards to drive. Contact your local council for details.

As some of you no I left the London Eye for a new job, well the thing is I'm not even off my 3months probation yet and they have asked me to look after all the fleet cars, they have told another member of staff that he is not doing a proper job, they have looked at all my vehicle sheets since I have been there and made the decision to ask me to do the job because I have made remarks on all the vehicles, some were not roadworthy and were put into the garage to be fixed or some had bald tyres, other response drivers were not checking the oil/water/lights etc. Just feel like I am the new boy and I'm treading on toes now, one of the controlers made a remark I just let it go, but at the end of the day if a car goes wrong everyone looses out coz its off the road. What shall I do.
