Try a fresh Minecraft before.

There's something called Minecraft Portable if you don't want to mess up the original folder.

Update your graphic drivers.

If it doesn't work:

• Overheating can cause this.
  
• Overheating can break something that can cause this even if the card is not overheating anymore.
  
• Your texture pack can also cause this.
  
• A fresh install of Minecraft may or may not fix it.

And lastly, ONLY IF YOUR PING TO THE SERVER IS LESS THAN 500MS, are you getting constant chatlag, block placing and item pickup?

Example:

Karton > Broke the adult and disrespectful line
Mods > Didn't ban him cause apparently you guys think he's immune cause of Sharok and I.
Me > Told him to stop, he said he will try.
The next day > You guys kept going on with the rules while nothing was done, or not intended because of his background.
Karton > Started again, cause why not, you guys kept picking on him.

Now I'm asking both sides to stop. If he starts again, without any provocation or whatsoever, it's a ban.

If I see any provocation that leads him to say those things again, I might just go back to the starting line and ask both sides to stop again.

Someone who comes in the server doesn't necessarily know that we have a thin line when it comes to that kind of thing. A warning there is still valid. (talking to new players).

I know the entities on the old one is higher, so are the chunks. I tested the same scenario, but with 700 chickens in a different area and it there was no noticeable changes.

800 chickens test:

OLD: 9.50 TPS (12.24 TPS @ 700 chickens)
NEW: 15.02 TPS (20 TPS @ 700 chickens)

I've set all of those game rules to false though I'm not sure the last two will serve a purpose if spawn-monsters is disabled in the server.properties file.

doMobSpawning might not be useful I guess, but mobGriefing to false is important!

In the creative inventory, you have monster eggs. You can spawn mobs with those.

doMobSpawning and spawn-monsters only controls the normal server spawns, not pushed spawns (eggs).

And uh, for the server, I said something in the chat, but if you missed it (just some suggestions):

You should change the /gamerule of doFireTick, doMobSpawning and mobGriefing to false.

1. doFireTick (One lightning strike or 1 use of flint and steel = bye bye wood buildings)
   
2. doMobSpawning (Kinda useless on a creative server and it will reduce A LOT of lag)
   
3. mobGriefing (Creepers, Withers and Enderman... you don't want to give them those powers)

I didn't change it cause maybe you want the server to be vanilla vanilla.

Some people might get interested in your videos and watch more or subscribe. It's kinda easy (once you learn how to publish) and fast.

Well, you shouldn't have to!

Firstly, keep in mind only the vanilla version is updated to 1.5. We do not use the vanilla version. Knowing how bukkit works, I don't think we will have a beta build before 1 week and a recommended build before 2-3 weeks. Finally, the server needs its core plugin in order to work. If bukkit updated, but those core plugins are not, I cannot update. For example, I am noit going to run the server without any grief protection or towny.

Here's a portable minecraft to save your day. It won't interfere with your main minecraft. Extract it on your desktop or anywhere else.

I just had an idea out of nowhere that looks kinda neat.

There's a few games that has this system, like Ragnarok Online.

Let's say on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 8PM and 10PM I will force PvP and allow spawnkilling everywhere. That means you can kill people even if their town is non-pvp. But only for a limited time.

Update: Moderator Interface

If you (moderators) have been following one of my "rule" and reported bans of long-time players, you know it's a pain in the butt to go on the forum and report it.

With that new plugin you can just type /report ban <player> <reason> and it will be sent to a website where we can browse every reports.

Works for ban, unban, kick, promotion and demotion.
But I only want bans and unbans.
You do not ban with /report. You ban normally and then you report.
