Saw this 2 books on sale for RM49.90 each. Lots of pictures & info. Those interest can go get 'em. BTW, the cashier told me can get further discount if using Maybank credit or debit card for books with red price tag.

A lot more books were on sale there. From dictionaries to general knowledge to cooking recipes to gardening guide.

I only bought children book about trucks for RM12.90. A lot of pictures

thanks for the info, use to go there to look for some books long time ago. Razz

Me too seldom go Borders already. Saw Jeremy Clarkson's book there too. Still thinking whether to get or not.

thanks bro! yup, you noticed it.. that was my very first hand custom that gone wrong, cut the original wing into two and glue it with metal plate which i've done about 5 years ago, i never thought of recustom it again because this reminds me of my many first attempt in custom 1/64 die-cast car. (which resulted failure! ) and intend to keep it that way .

Nostalgia tu! Its good to own something that has sentimental value to you bro.

  4. I doubt that one will update the latest sighting here in this thread. Some members hauled from the Internet as the local stock movement is slow.

Just have a look at "Found At Retail" section. Some members may be reluctant to update as fearing for exposing his/her hunting ground, I assumed. Some could be thinking that it's okay, sooner or later, someone else would update it. So don't rely on others to share their finding. Go on hunt yourself or observe member's haul in their respective garage threads.

Unless you are trying to have a special thread that keep track of latest wave that hit Malaysian market (regardless of where it was found) so go ahead. This way, many would benefited from the info posted here and start hunting. Instead of relying on "where" to hunt, one would now rely on "when" to hunt. If this is the case, I would like to suggest to the topic creator to rename the topic that will represent it purpose (i.e. Latest Wave).

    Hmm...why penalty??

Penalty shoot out after both side remain draw after extra time lor. Japan played very well last night. Respect to Marcus Tulio who was kneed down by the his own goalkeeper and for playing with his injured shoulder.

Difficult to call on the match between Germany and Argentina. Me neutral just want an entertaining time. clown

Yes, I agreed that it is difficult. But my money is on Germany. Simply because they had been playing much creative games compared to others. See how the Englishmen & the Aussies were caught off guard against them. But Argentina is much tougher opponent and they are on their top form now. Anything could happen. It's one game that should not be missed

    My personal rant:

If you look at today's Star paper, it reads... TEARS FOR ENGLAND as a headline.
What is this? Biased towards England? Not even a single headline of Germany as a winner?

That's the quality of our local writing mentality. I believe that as a sports journalist, there must be
some kind of a balance feedback towards any sports game.

Read Steve Dawson's book "Alex Yoong: The Driver's Line" (ISBN:978 9 978 981 4276 20 7) and you will get the idea of how bad our local journalism is. It is seems like they wrote/reported for the sake of sales rather then for the passion of the subject. Today you might see one writing in Sport column, 3 months later he/she might be writing in the Business column

But to me, "TEARS FOR ENGLAND" sounds better than "JOY FOR GERMANY" or "GERMANY TRASH ENGLAND" in terms of marketing wise. The Star would sell better as many Malaysian follows EPL than Bundesliga. See Astro sports channel programs, 70%-80% of the time is broadcasting EPL related programs.

Now, I hope Germany will beat Argentina in the semi-final. I don't want to see naked Maradona running around town should they win the World Cup this year
