AE 86 is hot hatch, its not hard to differentiated between sports car which usually 2 doors, coupe which is 2 doors and hot hatch which is 2 doors too.

Sports should be curvaceous, very compact and very expensive but as long its compact and curvaceous, the affordable can join too. Example Mazda MX-5 Miata or Eneous which consider by many journalist and critic as top 3 sports car of all time... do you know it? S2000 is sports but you can't call Evo sports. Its 4 doors so its sports sedan. Can you call RX8 sports car...yes you can.

Coupe should be non aggressive look but elegant, bigger body and expensive. Many Astons are coupe and not a sports car.

And Hot Hatch is simply a affordable pocket rocket performance car. 2 doors plus rear and can be called 3 doors too. In history of automobile Peugeot 205 is kings of the kings they rule UK and Euro. Can Ferarri be called as hot hatch? Its no no. That why they are Supercar and some of them is supercar coupe..so they are either sports supercar or coupe supercar. Get info from Top Gear so you will know which is which is hot hatch. Proton GTI is hot hatch in our standard.
