So excited for you Mae!

I am hopefully going to the Stroudsburg show. This is all taking place during tax season, so my ability to travel is seriously limited. But that one is only a 5 hour drive and on a Saturday night, so I can work half a day Saturday and still make it. That is, so long as the weather gods cooperate... *crosses fingers*

I just added 3 new dates to the list - Tulsa, OK; Shelby, NC; and Dallas, TX.

(And am hoping Ohio, western PA and/or lower Michigan shows up when those March dates come out... I'd love to get to at least one more this run!)

Well, so far the closest to me is Tulsa and it's winter.  Hoping he comes closer to me as in KC.  Pretty please!!!   I'd have a better chance of going.  Just don't want a repeat of 2013 in which I had tickets to 2 shows and missed both.  The snow storm ruined the KC one  and of course I was the victim of a scam artist who stole my STL show ticket.    Hopng for better luck this time!  Please!
(Sorry to sound negative but it's been a long haul trying to get the luck to score a D concert again.)

Hey, it's been almost 4 years since I've seen him. Certainly unacceptable. Very Sad Hoping to get to see him this time around. He just has to come closer than a 5+ hour drive. I'm not willing to chance it during the winter. Things can get crazy real quickly here in the Midwest.

Happy for you Viv, and crossing my fingers for you Debra! Eve and I will hopefully get tickets for the Stroudsburg show tomorrow morning when they go on sale.

There have been a few new dates pop up since my last update - I will try to get them added tonight or tomorrow. We've just been slammed at work lately, and I haven't had time to update. I prefer to do it on my work computer, since at home I only use my iPad now, and adding links from that sometimes drives me crazy. Wink

Suggestion Jeannie. Don't use Mc Donalds wifi to get your tickets. It takes 5 mins for the page to load or refresh. LOL Lesson Learned.

My Sis bought the tickets for a Christmas present, and she doesn't have Internet, so instead of meeting at my place, we decided to meet at Mc Donalds for breakfast so that when tickets went on sale at 10 AM, we could use my laptop. It worked out eventually, but sheesh, it was way toooooo slow. LOL

I sincerely hope EVERYONE who wants to see Dave get to go to a show near them. Or hell, I've hopped on planes and traveled 3000 miles, in the past. But it's nice when the show is close. Smile

Thanks, Viv... good suggestion. Eve is buying our tickets from her office, so we should be good that way. LOL Face

I just added 4 more shows - Newport, KY; Napa, CA; Sacramento, CA; and Salt Lake City, UT, which brings us up to date for the moment. So nice to see the west coast getting some love this time around... but hey Dave, there is an upper midwest, you know. Wink

This may be the first tour where I don't get to go to a single show.

Everything is way too far away for me to drive, I don't come close to having extra funds for travel like I used to, and anything that I might have been able to hit up is on a weeknight. Not even remotely possible while still in vet school. Even the Dallas date is on a Thursday. Saddest

Sad day, friends. I haven't seen everyone in so long!

There are still dates to come, Jamie. Don't give up hope yet.

I've missed you. I hope we find a show "before later" LOL Face that we can all get to! Hug

For anyone that missed it, that was Dave's "not allowed to use the word soon" comment on when the album would be out. "Before later" LOL flag

Hey! Can anyone help me??

My friend and I are planning to go for the first time from Spain to San Diego for David's show and we have some doubts about the tickets.

The website to buy them is: https://bellyupsolanabeach.frontgatetickets.com/event/g5z0smk8sj104gg3
I don't really understand it very well because first it says: "Genre: Alternative Rock
Ticket Price: $23 advanced / $25 day of show / $41 reserved seating"
and then down below you only have two different kinds of tickets "General Admission GA" and "General Admission Admission".

I guess the VIP tickets are those 'General Admission Admission' tickets that cost 73$ but Im not sure because it doesn't call them 'VIP' but G.A.A.

Can anyone please help me?? We are going to take a very long trip to see the show and try to meet David (maybe is the only opportunity ever to see him) and I don't want to buy the wrong tickets... I guess buying the VIP tickets worths it, doesn't it?

And the other question... Can I print the tickets once I've bought them? or they send it to me?? (The delivery cost to Spain will be really big...)

Thank you all!

I'm not sure about all of the ticket prices you mentioned, but I believe if you want to actually meet David you want the VIP. Anyone else understand this? I know when we wanted to meet Dave we had to get VIP tickets. Also does VIP include access to the show? Or is it just to meet Dave? That I'm not sure of either.

That's confusing the way it is written. I think the VIP is the GAA, but that does not include your show ticket. So you would need to buy a GA ticket, plus the GAA for the VIP. I know several shows lately have sold them separately.

But I am not 100% sure... I am just guessing that is the way it is, since the VIP does not say it includes a ticket.

Hi, thank you for you answer. And Is there any possibility to meet David if you don't have the VIP ticket? I mean... After the show or something?

Some shows he comes out afterwards, and some he does not. There is no way to know. Saw him in January in Phoenix with my Sister, and after the show I told her that sometimes he comes out and meets the fans. The  venue pushed everyone out the door quickly saying he isn't coming out. We hung around a bit and then left. Saw on Twitter later that night, that he did come out and a few fans even shared their pics on Twitter. We are going to see him at the same venue in February but this time we are going to hang around just in case. But to be honest it's a crap shoot. I told her we'll hide in the bathroom if we have to. LOL. VIP is the surest way to meet him. And it is worth it!

Hi Jeannie! Thank you for your answer. I see that VIP include Early entry to the venue... Doesn't it mean entry to the show? Sorry my English is not too good..

It isn't just your English - like I said, that website is poorly written. So I am not sure, but I know there have been shows lately where you have to have a regular ticket in addition to the VIP. You would get early entry into the venue because you will be seeing the soundcheck, and that means they would let you stay inside. But you may still need a seperate ticket to the show.

I will check on twitter and see if anyone I am following is going, and if they know whether the VIP includes your concert ticket. I will let you know what I find out, if I can find out anything.

I just put a VIP ticket in my cart, and it would have let me check out without another ticket. So I think the VIP includes the show. Usually when it doesn't it says it is an upgrade and requires a ticket.

Also on the Belly Up's website, it lists ticket prices, and the $73 ticket is listed there with the others.

Based on that, I would say that the VIP does include your concert admission. And as of right now, there are still VIPs left. Smile

And as Viv said, the only sure way to meet Dave is with a VIP. Sometimes he does come out to greet fans after, and sometimes not. With the busy schedule he has in February, I wouldn't count on it, though it's possible. Since this is your big chance to meet him, I would say go for the VIP.

I am very excited for you that you are finally going to see him live!

I also recommend the VIP.  The only way to go!  Jump   I'm so happy for you to get to see a show and meet Dave.  He's one of the nicest people that I've ever met.

Oh, man. I hate when that type of thing happens. I know others from other countries have bought tickets to his shows, but not sure how they've done it. I sincerely hope this works out for you. If the country thing turns out to be a problem, not sure how others have resolved this, as I've never heard of anyone else having that problem. Let us know if you get your tickets. I'm so excited for you!

I's impossible... I've talked to FrontGate tickets and they've told me that it's not their fault and I had to speak with Belly Up directly. When I wrote to them, Belly Up told me to buy the tickets calling them by phone.
The problem is that as I've said to them, I am not good enough at English to have a speaking conversation... I would not understand anything! I answered the e-mail telling that to them and asking if there's no way to fix the problem on the website... Im waiting the reply but I'm starting to feel that I'm running out of possibilities...

Thank you all for your help!

Do you know someone here in America you could send the money to, electronically? Like Paypal or bank transfer? Obviously, someone you trust? Then they could go online and purchase the tickets. Make sure they can somehow put the tickets in your name? Not sure if this part matters, but I saw David at BellyUp in 2013, and I do remember they checked ID at the door. Not for the tickets but for drinking age. Just a thought. I'm so hoping this works out for you. Now that I think of it, the name on the ticket might not matter, because people do get people tickets as gifts. Not sure how all this works. I'm probably complicating this whole thing.

Vsteph1 but are you sure that the website works correctly there in the USA?? It doesnt seem a problem of the country but the website... Can you please try to buy them? Just try. That way we can check if it is problem of the country or the website. I guess I will finally have to call them by phone and try...

Ahhhhh, now I see the problem. It is the website. It didn't work for me either. So now the question is do you know anyone you trust that you can send them the money for the tickets and then they can order them over the phone. Or maybe BellyUp can use language line to translate for you, or something like that. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I just want to say that your English in writing is great. Can you write out exactly what you want to say or ask, and then read it to them? Just a thought. The problem is definitely the website.

Yes I will try to call them (In fact, I've already called them but I only heard an answering phone asking me the extension of the person I want to reach... I've written them a mail asking their timetable to try again, but Im not optimistic on it... I could write all I want to say but... Will I be able to understand their answers? haha we'll see... but for me, it's incredible that they know that the website is not working well and nobody do nothing to fix it...
I'm starting to think of buying normal tickets instead of VIP... at least they work ok on the web. Thank you so much for your help!

Good Luck! Let us know how it goes. I emailed the people who's software BellyUp uses, but they said you have to call BellyUp directly. They apparently provide the software, but don't support it? That kinda sucks!

Getting ready to head to Stroudsburg for the show tonight, and as a bonus doing Annapolis tomorrow. Thank goodness the weather is cooperating, and these hit a weekend so I can still get in six hours of work this morning, and yet do two shows on this tour. (It sucks with him touring during my busy season.)

Jeanie, have fun and give Dave a hug for me if you get the chance. I won't get to see him this tour because he's just not coming in close enough. Best I get is 5+ hours driving and I don't want to chance it in the winter weather. Right now it's nice here in Central Missouri but that could all change and I can't afford to lose the cost of a ticket like I did in KC last year. I was out $85 and that hurt. Will be watching for your recaps.

Thanks Debra. We don't have VIP either place, so I doubt I'll get to talk to him this time. I'm just thrilled to be there!

I hear you on the weather. We bought these tickets, but it's more than five hours of driving, so we could very well have been out. The weather gods seem to be in a cooperative mood this weekend though, so we can go. It was a risk we decided to take, and fortunately it paid off for us. But it could have easily gone the other way... especially with us heading into the Pocono mountain area tonight.
