Maxxis Diamond

What do you think of them? fitted some today well stue11 did, but been looking at them, they have only just come out and are getting good reviews.... thumbs

Having had the maxxi super sport fitted last time, and no complaints I gonna fit one of these next. thumbs

I agree for £150 a pair you cant go wrong I don't think, value for money at the end of the day.

I'm coming up to 2,000 miles on the sport touring tyres, and am really pleased with them. If the rear can last 5k+ I reckon I'll stick with Maxxis personally. Less than that & it's no cheaper than buying Bridgestone or Continental. Smile

i think they have put alot into the road side of their tyres and they are starting to come good imo thumbs

i know it sounds stupid but i have read alot somewhere over the internet that the slicks grip very well in the wet. Shocked

Don't always believe what you read. I've read that 9/11 wasn't set up by the CIA Suspect

As to the feedback from these Maxxis, again, perhaps the best set of tyres I've had on in that respect. Very steady but responsive to the slightest shove on the bar. thumbs

First time in ages I've posted but I feel I have to join in this grand Maxxis debate! Got a VFR800Fi-X with 38k on of which I've done 15k on.
Put the Diamonds on around 1,000 miles ago as I read 6-7 reports and all seemed good.
I'd done 9k on Dunlop Roadsmarts (great tyres), and it was the £50 saving that swayed me. Got to say that early impressions are really good, with excellent dry and wet grip;though the most impressive thing up to now is the feedback, they really transmit what's happening.
The other thing is-wait for it- they seem QUIETER, especially over the shellgrip surfaces around roundabouts and other hazards, maybe it's because they feel lighter in steering and changing direction but that's my feeling.
Before they went on they did look a bit 'pointy' but once inflated looked fine and certainly don't drop into corners. I run my forks dropped 10mm and 35 front 38 rear psi. Bike feels great all round. Just got to see how they wear, if they approach the Dunlops they will be winners. Look in other markets like cycle, atv etc and Maxxis are dominant, I've got no worries whatsoever .

Thanks Alan thats reasuring im gonna fit me a couple next, ive fitted a couple to other folks bikes and i liked the look of them thumbs keep us updated on mileage etc etc cheers.

Good video and at the end you can see on the track how hard they are pushing them. looking forward to using them this summer and really getting miles under them and give a proper review. thumbs

Had a few used them on they RF 3 have said very good super all round tyre , and one has said make 's the front a bit of putting no grip . after saying that i did as when was the last time the fork's had new oil , and he did not no . affraid

lol! people are loving these and pushing them and are happy with the results surely its a bonus to everyone in a way they are cheap and very good.

Got these fitted to mine last year and I love them, great on cornering, wear well,

Personally they are better than bridgestones.

alot of people have rated them better than the bridgestones. people dont have much love for the bridgestones

ive been using avons for a while instaid of bridgestones, never had much confidence in them tbf. Might try some maxxis next though.

it shows them off for how good they are and they are chucking the bike around at the end of the video with them on and can see how well they grip. thumbs

they dont do a 160 rear to fit the sv Sad im thinking of trying the maxxis sport tyres for the sv next as it has conti attacks on it but their not going to last a great deal longer.

ive also had the sports ones and trebor runs the sports on his and loves them thumbs

Yeah I wasn't impressed with. Bridgestones, death traps in wet. Loved mitchelin but cos I was commuteing and they squared off in no time. But more curvey roads this year lol
