A sudden burst of interest and enthusiasm this morning and I had a tidy up and a move around.
Gave the Busa a check over, and started digging out some of my Busa spares stash.

.... and when Pete ( the ASF member selling the tail)
heard that I was going to run twin pipes and no pillion,
being the top bloke that he is, went down the workshop
and fab'd up a matching exhaust hanger mirror image for the other side
(he only used one as he had a 4-into-1)

Got a few things that I don't like the look of,
Front guard, rad header tank, seat and tail.

Biggest goal for me is I want it to be better than
a B-King in EVERY way. It's already shorter,
lighter, better tank range and more leg room.

It needs better brakes and at least 5 to 10 more
ponys and it'll be close.

Got half a dozen guys out here running Naked Hayabusa's.
A couple of them Turbo'd. Mines starting to look dated and
really isnt quick enough. Can't think of anything that's going
to make a better naked bike. Although I'd love to do a 1340cc
Gen2 but they're not cheap enough....... Yet.

i love the fact you bought a busa, remove everything busa minus the framework/engine and turning it into a bike Suzuki should of made only one word to describe it really...

I'd be happy to build a naked bike around just a Busa motor.
Sponson frame, shorter arm, ohlins forks etc but my budget
and ability both fall far short of that.

I want a good naked bike and there's not much choice when
You start looking at the big stuff. BMW1300R or B-King and both
Have their faults. Everything else seems to lack torque, be
Low tech retro, lack horsepower, or be cruiser based like
the V-Max, or have shaft drive or odd ball tyre sizes.

I'd like a 1300cc naked GSXR sportsbikes.

Just a quick test / dummy fit, (as in fitted quicly by a dummy)
to see what it looks like. All about to come back off.

Indicators, brake, tail and numberplate lights wired up,
New mounts made for the GSXR seat to bolt to the Busa frame.
Key'd seat lock swapped over to the GSXR tail,
slowly crossing off the little jobs......

An under seat exhaust to show off the back end ?

Managed to fit the reg/rec into the new tail and squeeze the brake master
in too, not 100% happy so they might both get relocated. Hit it with a blue
rattle-can untill I make my mind up about paint, no rush. Had a play.
Still go's like a stripped down Busa should. Not beautiful, but very entertaining.
