Sirianta 0 Posted July 21, 2011 Hey guys and gals For about two weeks now I've had this desire in me to get a few woman together and start a bible study group that get together once a week. Today me and another lady pastor were chatting about me and my hubby's situation and out of the blue she suggested that maybe I should start a woman's bible study group!! Now this past two weeks I wondered if this idea is from God or myself and when the pastor mentioned it today it fealt like confirmation from God!! I am still going to pray about this and ask that you will pray with me. I am so excited about this, but need to know for sure if it is God's will. I don't want to go against His will.Does any of you have or attend such a group? And can you please if possible give me some helpfull advice before starting such a group.I can not tell you guys how excited I am about this just to get together with other woman and worship God and share His mighty Word!!! GOD BLESS

SisterinChrist 0 Posted July 31, 2011 my fam does a lot of "prayer meetings" which i would think is same as a bible study group. We first Sing. then someone says like a sermon..short..then we all take turns praising or talking about Gods blessings, thanking Him what He did for us, and read verses in Bible explaining why we chose this particular verse. ... and we also pray for whatever it is we need. ( each person does this, however if someone does not want to its cool, when i was younger, i wud just sit around and listen)we have also done it this way - 1, we pick out a chapter in Bible which we will discuss in our prayer meeting. ( Done before meeting)2. we all take turns and tell us what the Lord revealed to us about this chapter..Could be anything.. prophetic, or what we felt while we meditated or whatever it means to us... whatever revelations we get.3. we end by either 1 person praying or however many want to pray, like take turns. I just love prayer meetings!!!!!

Daisy 0 Posted October 13, 2011 I have attended a womens only bible group at my church. My schedule has changed and I cannot attend anymore. They all bring a yummy thing to share...its in the late morning, so things like cookies, brownies etc. They always had coffee brewing, and then people would eat and fellowship for the first half hour/45min while everyone drifts in. Then they started out with prayer requests...the leader wrote notes down as people asked their prayer requests...everyone agrees in prayer and she starts her mini bible study, reading along on her bulletpoint sheet. Its kind of nice that she allowed people to interject their revelations too along the way. The actual bible study portion was about 20 min..but then allowing people to share along with her theme helped it to stretch out a bit longer. Hope some ideas helped....
