  1. Thank you Mark for the insight. I have mulled over your words for the last couple of weeks and they helped me to understand the dream. As always, it seems my dreams relate to church. My grieving is over the loss of our former church (it recently merged with a larger one). And it does seem as if it hits me fresh sometimes that our wonderful smaller church is really gone, swallowed up in a large, program filled, sometimes indifferent-feeling group. As for the part of where I was standing on the stool trying to adjust the shelf, I realize that is me, trying to adjust and "fix" some of the programs in the newly merged church that are out of sinc. I believe that was a warning to back off because I could get "fall and get hurt". Even though there are definite areas in the new church that need adjustment, it isn't my place to do so alone (it is going to take prayer and help from the pastor). And when I was sitting taking to "my husband" (who I now realize was the pastor), I made the comment about him basically having everything to make him happy now (was with God). I now understand that on the outside it looks as if everything has really come together for our pastor, but in reality he still has many battle to fight in this new arena.
Again, thank you for the insight. I have been deeply unsure about this new phase, and even grieving over the loss, but this dream gave me direction, and a warning and even understanding.

  2. I had the most horrible dream early this morning. I dreamed I was seated with a large group of people in the funeral home and we were all talking. My husband had just died and I am guessing we were there planning his funeral. I didn't focus on anyone there, just my mother, who was telling how she and my father were in church when someone came and got them and gave them the news. I told someone that he had been complaining of chest pains, but when I told him we should see a doctor he would say, "it isn't anything".
Apparently, there was some sort of graduation (for me) planned on Dec. 5th (for some reason that date stood out), and it was coming up the next week. Someone asked if we were still going to have it and I reasoned that we may was well. That seemed to be the time in the dream that it hit me my husband was really gone and I began crying in my dream. Someone else made a remark that it was time I cried, as I had been in shock up to that time.
The next scene of the dream was at my house, (but it wasn't my house in real life). There were people there too, I am thinking my children. It was hitting me hard that my husband wasn't going to be coming home and a lot was going to change. I stood on a stool and was adjusting a shelf when my husband appeared beside me, helping me with the shelf, telling me to be careful. Then later he appeared again as I was sitting on the couch and we were talking. I told him I knew he was happy now, in the presence of the Lord. After which he says, I will be when I get there, but first I have to go to hell and deal with the devil over something.
That was pretty much the dream. It felt very real and my sadness was overwhelming.

  3. Hello,
A few months ago I had a dream concerning my daughter, that I have not been able to put out of my mind. In it we were preparing a wedding for her. But we weren't ready, my house was a mess, dust was everywhere, it must have been sometime after Christmas, as my decorations were still out, covered in dust and my tree (a real one) was dead and shedding pine needles all over the carpet. We were desperately trying to clean it, shoving things in closets, etc, but before we were barely started my daughter's soon to be  in-laws showed up, with luggage and bedding, as if they planned to stay overnight at our house. They took over, moving furniture, making up beds, ripping the side of my new love-seat, etc.  I was trying to set up someplace for the ceremony, deciding we could have them stand in front of the Christmas tree, but when I plugged in the dusty lights, they shorted out and only about half of them were lit. More pine needles then fell off.
I went downstairs to the kitchen, where my mother-in-law and the groom's grandmother were making food for the reception. But as soon as they got something done they would taste it, then talk about how good it was, then consume it completely. About that time my daughter and her fiance showed up. She was clearly very pregnant, and clearly aggravated about something. Her fiance trailed behind her, a backpack on his back, reading something on his phone. I called out a "hi" to him, and even though he looked like her current boyfriend, I called him by a different name (Kane). I knew in the dream is was spelled that way, even though I know NO ONE named that in real life. He smiled and waved to me, and I knew he had no idea my daughter was getting ready to blow up about something.
That is all I recall of the dream. I know I went outside after that and said something to my husband, but I don't recall what it was. My feelings in this dream were intense frustration. In real life I like everything well planned in advance.
Any help with this is appreciated! There was nothing about this dream that is true in real life. I have never seen that house, I would never let dust collect like that, I never use a real Christmas tree, and all my decorations are gone the day after Christmas. The only things that was true was my daughter's fiance looked exactly like her current boyfriend, and the love seat that got ripped was the one we just bought.
    Thank you!

  4. Thank you!
When I had the dream, that church had a congregation of over 1000, with three services on Sundays. They now have one service on Sunday and about 200-300 people attending. In hindsight we realized the Holy Spirit had us at that church for a season, to be a voice to that pastor about the state of unfriendliness to newcomers. We didn't voice that to him until he asked us about it two years into our time there. It was, unknown to us, the same time another man, very anointed and gifted, was also giving him the same message. The pastor started to run with it, build programs to welcome newcomers, but his wife, the worship leader, shut it down quickly. Soon after we felt the release to leave, as did the other man.
Now that I have been to a joint service that was one our present pastor and this other pastor put together, I see the effects of him listening to his wife, instead of the Holy Spirit. For our joint service, we had to bring our worship team, as there were not enough musicians to even lead the service.

  5. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this dream as I awoke this morning. Even though we left his church two years ago and are very happy and settled in the church God planted us in after we left there, I was told a few days ago that our pastor and our former pastor from my dream are connecting for some future work. Ever since I heard the news I have felt sick in my spirit and then when this morning I was reminded of this dream. I would love some insight. Thank you!

  6. I haven't dreamed in awhile. But a few mornings ago I slept later than usual and dreamed this dream it seemed over and over.
In the dream I and my family were at the beach. The waves were high and crashing. There were storm warnings everywhere and it was flooding. Ships we could see from the beach were trying to ride out the storm, but they were sinking. People were trying to leave, to get away from the waves and from the storm and the flooding. We were at a vacation house and when we opened the door, water gushed out. It had already flooded.
I knew things were serious in the dream, but also knew that long term, it would not affect me or my family, because we didn't live there, we were just vacationing.
In real life we just got back from a beach vacation.
    Thanks!

  7. Thank you Mark!
Sorry for the late reply, had some computer issues.
The only thing that looks like it could fit has to do with a work situation my husband is going through right now. It doesn't include me, however, and for the most part doesn't include him. There is some tension and what would appear to be a spirit of strife manifesting in his workplace. Mainly between his boss and another worker. The worker keeps stirring up strife against the boss among the other employees and my husband is trying to steer clear of it all. He is dealing with a lot of stress this kind of thing brings with it. He genuinely likes his boss, who is also a believer, but also sees where the angst is coming from on the other side.
Perhaps the "children" are his co-workers, most of whom are not Christians, but they do tend to follow his leadership. He has been concerned his boss is not being Christ-like in his response to the problem and it is hindering a lot there.
    Thank you again!

  8. My husband dreamed the other night about a car crash. In his dream we were traveling with our children. IRL they are in their late teens and early twenties, but in the dream they were very small. A car pulled directly into our path and our car struck them. Everyone in the other car was killed, but we were all fine. My husband only had some minor pain from hitting the steering wheel.
We (and all our children) are getting ready take a cross country trip in a few days, so this made us wonder if this is a warning of some kind? Although he hasn't has any fear concerning the dream, and normally he would. Thanks!

  9. Thank you, Mark,
The reason I believe the children represented animals is that just as I was ready to post the dream, I did get some insight. Less than an hour after I dreamed this, I was outside feeding animals. We live in a rural area and my children love pets. My son has a very loyal, yet viscous, small dog, my older daughter has a medium sized, docile dog that just had puppies, and my younger daughter owns several cats (yes, we have kittens!). I have become the overseer and feeder of all these animals. The morning I had the dream my son's dog wouldn't come and I discovered he had killed one of the small kittens. He has recently become more aggressive, toward the cats in particular, but never this bad. The way I felt when I saw the dead kitten was exactly how I felt in the dream. Just awful.
I went ahead and posted the dream, wondering if I am missing something here, since I obviously had the dream while the actual event was taking place.
    Thank you again.

  10. I dreamed this morning about several children.
I was at my grandparent's old place, one they lived in when my dad was growing up. It is empty and abandoned now, however, in the dream someone lived there. There were all these children everywhere, and they all seemed to be a bit wild. Yet, they were running and playing and enjoying themselves. I looked down the road and saw more children walking toward the house and wondered how many more there were.
Then I saw a man, bald and muscled, wearing a tank top. He was bullying the children and they were scared of him. Then I watched as he drug one child out of the barn where it had hidden from him. He drug it by the legs, busting the boy's head on the rocks and gravel as he hauled him around, yelling at the child. I had to look away, it was so terrible, as the child screamed. I knew the boy couldn't live through the attack, but I was an observer and I knew I couldn't stop him.
That was the dream. I am fairly sure the children represented animals, most likely cats and kittens, and the man represented a dog. Not sure what I am supposed to do with this dream. It left me feeling awful.

  11. I dreamed last night about a girl, one of my son's old girlfriends. She tried (and succeeded) to damage his reputation after they broke up, as she had also done with every ex-boyfriend before him. In the process she also damaged some of my and my husband's friendships with some of her family members.
Now, a year later, I dream about her. In the dream she came to my house, carrying beautifully wrapped gifts. They were for my younger son, for his birthday. She had signed her name wrong, using her nickname and the last name of her current boyfriend (even though I knew they weren't married and in the dream I realized she was living with him). She told me the gifts were from her and her mother (her mother was one of the friends I lost when her daughter began her smear campaign against my son).
In the dream my older son was sleeping and never knew she had brought the gifts.
In the dream I just felt suspicious and puzzled by her motives.
    Any ideas? Thank you!

  12. I for one have really missed your service on here, Mark. You always seemed to know exactly what the Holy Spirit was trying to help me understand through my dreams. But it is true that we need to move forward and seek God for ourselves and not expect someone else to do it for us.
Praying God's best for you, and Dreamster, too. You have both been real blessings in my life, through a very difficult period of my life.

  13. My son had another dream concerning our missing dog. In his dream he was walking down a gravel road and saw our dog in someone's yard. He called to him, but the dog was wary. He said he walked up to him, kneeled down and started petting our dog and calling him by name. It a little bit but then the dog recognized him and was happy to seem him. My son tied a string to his collar and walked the dog home.
    Any ideas, please?

  14. Our family pet went missing three weeks ago, and our family has been heartbroken. There have been dog thieves in the area and he is a full-blooded boxer. Two of my children and my husband have dreamed that he was just outside but we could not see him and didn't know he was there. I have had no dreams about it, until last night. In my dream I was outside and he ran right up to me. He was covered in ticks, including three large ones attached to the top of his head. He was so happy to see me and tried to climb right up in my lap (he is a boxer, a big dog, but used to do this). I brought him in the house to give him a bath and clean the ticks off of him, when I heard a noise. He was hungrily eating up all the dog food he could find in the pet bowls so fast I knew he was starving. The dream felt very real.
I am hoping this dream is a sign from God that he is returning, but after 3 weeks we have almost given up hope.
    Thank you!

  15. Could this dream have anything to do with the upcoming elections? There seems to be a divide in the body of Christ over Donald Trump's role as a nominee. Several I know feel he is a wolf in sheep's clothing, deceiving for a purpose. Others I know feel he is God's man for the hour, a Cyrus to help God's people. I just keep getting in my spirit, "be wise! Don't be deceived!"
