  3. Hello Zoonie and Frannie yes that train disaster was horrible. They didn't say what caused it. Yes Frannie - because we have borders with Germany it was convenient place for them to have camps in Czech. There was one in my town - Ostrov. We used to joke about it (as kids) because the building they used was later converted into college (yes I know it was kind of twisted joke) so we said the torture carries on...

I saw recipe for ths lovely Valentines meal on SW website - honey glazed pork chops with red pepper and spring onion mash (if things would have been little bit different now that what I would have been making today). I love making different flavour mash potatoes - my favorite - horseraddish, whole grain mustard, spring onion or cheese. It can really make big difference to your meal if you flavour your mash potatoes.

    THE BIG BANG THEORY

Just to prove how behind is UK to USA last night (11 February 2010) I've watched episode 310 - The Gorilla Experiement (originally aired in USA on 7 December 2009). It was screened on E4 at 9pm.
  17. found on: http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2010/02/11/breaking-dawn-twilight-two-movies/ Twilight's 'Breaking Dawn' to be split into two movies? by Nicole Sperling DeadlineHollywood.com reports that Summit Entertainment will split Stephenie Meyer’s fourth book in her Twilight series Breaking Dawn into two films. While that’s a likely outcome considering the first two films have earned over $1 billion in worldwide box office, Summit Entertainment is still reporting that nothing has been decided officially. Their exact words: “No decision has been made and as we have said all along we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring BD to the big screen.” My guess is they announce officially their decision next week and then produce the movies back-to-back. For all you Twilight fans, here’s my question: where do you split the film? Remember the first and third sections of the book are narrated by Bella, while the middle half is all from Jacob’s point-of-view.

    THE BIG BANG THEORY

MAIN CAST: * Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter, Ph.D. – Leonard is an experimental physicist with an IQ of 173 who received his Ph.D. when he was 24 years old. He shares an apartment with colleague and friend Sheldon Cooper. He is the straight man of the series. The writers have toyed with a romance between him and neighbor Penny, with their unresolved sexual tension being a major force for drama. * Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper, Ph.D. – Originally from East Texas, he was a child prodigy, starting college at the age of 11, right after completing the 5th grade. As a theoretical physicist, he possesses a master's degree, two Ph.D.s, and an IQ of 187. He exhibits a strict adherence to routine; a lack of understanding of irony, sarcasm and humor; and a complete lack of humility. These characteristics are the main sources of his character's humor and the center of a number of episodes. Sheldon shares an apartment with Leonard Hofstadter. * Kaley Cuoco as Penny – She is the attractive, blonde neighbor who lives across the hall from Sheldon and Leonard. She has aspirations of a career in show business, and has been to casting calls and auditions but has not been successful thus far. To pay the bills, she works as a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory. * Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz, M.Eng. – He works as an aerospace engineer and lives with his mother; they are Jewish. Unlike Sheldon, Leonard, and Raj, Howard lacks a Ph.D. He defends this by pointing out that he has a master's degree in Engineering from MIT and the apparatus he designs are actually built and launched into space, unlike the purely abstract work of his friends. He provides outrageous pick-up lines and fancies himself a ladies man with suitably unimpressed reactions from Penny; however, he has shown limited success with other women. * Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh Koothrappali, Ph.D. – Rajesh (Raj), who originally comes from New Delhi, India, works as a particle astrophysicist at Caltech.[16] He is very shy around females and is physically unable to talk to them unless he drinks alcohol. However, he has had much better luck with women as opposed to his overly confident best friend Howard. His parents, introduced as Dr. and Mrs. V.M. Koothrappali, are seen via webcam.
  22. I remember that one with chocolates - took me a while to figure out what he's doing - first I thought he put something in those chocolates (sleeping pills, laxative etc.) I'm creating a theread in Cafe for TBBT - stop by later
  23. I know there are fans of this show here on PSFC so I though I will create this thread for information and chat about what you like and dislike in The Big Bang Theory (TBBT). For those who are not familiar with TBBT here is little introduction (courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Bang_Theory) The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created and executively produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It premiered on CBS September 24, 2007. Set in Pasadena, California, the show is about two male Caltech prodigies in their 20s, one an experimental physicist (Leonard Hofstadter) and the other a theoretical physicist (Sheldon Cooper), who live across the hall from an attractive blonde waitress with show-biz aspirations (Penny). Leonard and Sheldon's 'geekiness' and sheer intellect are contrasted with Penny's social skills and common sense for comic effect. Two equally geeky friends of theirs, Howard and Rajesh, are also main characters.
  24. The vet said so (and he should know) and it was more than 5 years ago and dog is still in good health. I was watching TBBT on telly last night - the one were Sheldon is teaching Penny about physics because Howard's girlfriend is taking lots of interest in Leonard's work and Penny feels left out.
