Good evening everyone Zoonie and Marie - thank you for your thoughts. It's been snowing in London all day today but snow was melting till about 2pm then it started to stay on the ground. Boss decided to close the office at 3pm as we all had problems getting to work this morning and we all went home. Trains are runnung reduced service today (and tomorrow too) so it took a while but I got home about 5pm (20 minutes walk from local station today as I was not sure if buses were running). Just been to shops to get bread and milk as we run out and my local sainsbury's has most of shelf empty - but I managed to get the milk LOL I am home safe and warm. Not sure what it will be like tomorrow - we have about 2.5 inch of snow in my village. Hope you all doing fine and are nice and warm and had great day

Just quick hello - sorry can't stay today - too much work on my desk already and I only got to work 5 minutes ago (yes I arrive at work at 9.45 today). We only have about 1.5 inch of snow but there is very restricted train service and I spent 50 minutes on train to London today not able to take a breath properly - I think sardines in a can have more room that it was on this train and after my stop no-one else could get on. Hope you all doing well and are safe and warm. big and lots of to all

tell me about it! London Bridge was total nightmare - people running from platform to platform. I managed to get on a train that was 45 minutes late (why? there was no snow in London at that point) and then walked home though dark park as I was not sure if busses were running this time There was a message on our local train station announcing that tomorrow they will be revise timetable with first train leaving at 7am

interesting fact that I didn't know about Chai - what would we do without Wikipedia? .... Main article: milk Usually, whole milk is used for its richness. Generally, masala chai is made by mixing 1/4 to 1/2 parts milk with water and heating the liquid to near-boiling or even full boiling. As previously mentioned, some people like to use condensed milk in their masala chai to double as the sweetener. Spices and cut tea leaves [edit] Spices The traditional masala chai is a bracing, strongly spiced beverage brewed with so-called "warm" spices. Most masala chai incorporates one or more of the following: cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves. Traditionally, cardamom is a dominant note, supplemented by other spices such as cloves, ginger, or black pepper; the latter two add a pleasantly piquant flavour. In India, fresh ginger is often used. However, in Western India, star anise and black pepper are expressly avoided.[citation needed] The Kashmiri version of chai is brewed with green tea instead of black tea and has a more subtle blend of flavorings: almonds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and sometimes saffron. Other possible ingredients include nutmeg, rose flavouring (where rose petals are boiled along with the loose-leaf tea), or liquorice root.

Masala chai (Hindi मसाला चाय: masālā cāy, "spiced tea") is a beverage from the Indian subcontinent made by brewing tea with a mixture of aromatic Indian spices and herbs.[1] By itself, chai is merely the generic word for tea in Hindi, Punjabi and many other languages around the world, and was adopted into British slang as "cha" or "char". However, for many English speakers who refer to ordinary tea as "tea", the word "chai" is a relatively recent addition to their vocabulary and automatically implies "masala chai".

we ended up walking home together last night (I didn't know he was on same train as I normally don't take this train home) and were talking and he said he would prefer if I stay in this area as it's nice and safe around here. That when I asked him how much time do I have. He also suggested for me to get in touch with local council to see what help would I be eligible for. The thing is - our area is not only nice but also quite expensive (studio flat for £600)
