  1. Hello Frannie and Dawn Yes Tanay - we are also told to drink plenty of fluids before blood donation or blood test as it (IMO) helps the blood flow better. There is new thing now here in UK and while you waiting for a free bed to donate you have to drink a pint of water - they say it helps with the fluid loss.
  2. hello zoonie hope that life is back to normal at yours and Mr Zoonie is not having such a problems with trains. I get invite every 4 months - unfortunately I don't get time off for that but I go in the evening after work as my local session is 10 minutes from my house. It's still cold here (about 3 degrees today) and in my village we still have snow but here in central London the snow is completely gone. Because our office is in very very old buidling and we have c**p windows here I have borrowed a small blow heater to keep me warm how are you Tanay? Yes we have not spoken for a while
  3. hello BG, Kijo and Tanya I'm a blood donor (I'm going tomorrow evening) and I don't seems to have problems with my veins - yes on few occasions I have ended up with big bruise but that depends on who is the one "sticking the needle in". I have been giving blood for few years now so I'm used to it but I can't look at the needle going in - I don't fear the pain but I have to look away for some reason. Sorry to hear about your pain and suffering girls :hug;
  4. quick hello and lots of not sure how long I can stay - work's been busy and my computer is playing up again
  5. indeed but I guess sooner I face it - sooner I can start moving on with my life. How's the weather like at your end? We still have snow but trains were running normally today
  6. hello zoonie yes that's one of the reasons why I said that it should be me moving out. I told him that even if I could afford the place or have a friend to move in with me - I couldn't live there without him - too many memories. I guess blokes don't look at it that way.
  7. hello kijo if I'm going to be honest - I'm not great right now - emotionally that is. I just had on-line chat with Mr B as he's been dropping hints whole weekend about various flats he came accross to while browsing on the net. So I guess I can't be putting it off for my longer. He's not pressuring me into anything - he would prefer if I would stay and he would move but the place is too big and too expensive for me. We still have snow here thought - it's 2 degrees today
