  1. yes I was really happy yeaterday but last night when I coudn't sleep (again) I started to have doubts.... dunno why. She said to have a look at net and let her know whats there... I guess if she would live with me for at least 6 months than that should give me time to get my life sorted.
  2. I'm going to be 32 this year but under current UK legistlation I will have to wait till 65 (I think) to retire to get state pension - they keep pushing the age more and more back....
  3. that's true but I have been having way too many of those lately I really need to get my backside in gear and start doing something - should start to sort my stuff, preparation for packing. Had a coffee with my next door neighbour yesterday and told her about my situation and asked her if she would move in with me to a new flat and she said yes but with the knowledge that she is looking for somewhere to buy so she might be moving out at some point. Guess now I will have to start flat hunting - 2 bed flat. This way I can afford half the rent and bills without anyones help and that makes me feel much better.
  4. Hi Tanya!! I'm way too young to be thinking about retiring yet - got few decades to go
  5. I'm fine thank you and you? Refusing to get out of bed - got loads of work to do but don't really want to do anything

  14. sorry guys - I'm still lurking - keep getting disctacted by work stuff - Tax Returns deadline fast aproaching and people are starting to panick now I'm also (kind of) celebrating little aniversary today - 13 January 1998 was the day I've arrived to London

  16. well I finally managed it to work it's been snowing all night and it's still snowing now - my normal 20 minutes train journey took an hour today big to everyone
  17. looks like I'm left here on my onw - well I guess I will pay more attention to work then
  18. enjoy your lunch and good luck with studies, exams and blood test
  19. thanks guys yes it does help if you can see or hold something that weights as much - lots of people would use cubes of lard/butter as comparison but anything helps - our consultant has "lump of fat" - it's big wobbly piece of plastic "blob" that weighs 2 pounds and it's always there on table for people to touch and hold to help put it in prospective. I'm starting to feel much better about myself and I guess that's what I will need now that I'm back on market - better self confidence
  20. frannie hope it will be all fine very soon tanya - those are really nice! *drool* I need to kick my butt in place and send you some pics like I promised ages ago but tonight I need to go to SW class - I normally go on wednesday but that clashes with my blood donation so I have to find different class tonight, then I have my grocery delivered (kitchen empty after chrsitmas/new year) but (in case anyone is ineterested) since I have started with SW last year in November I've lost 10 pounds (about 4.5 KG) and I feel great and lots of my clothes is loose now
  21. I guess it's easier in summer when it's hot and you get thirsty quicker and now that's it cold - you can use your tea to warm you up - instead of making one big pot - make a cup/mug at a time so it will help to warm you up but don't force yourself to drink - everyone needs different amount of fluids to function but you need to drink some as your body is about 65% water and if the level of fluids go down a lot it affects the way your brain function affecting your concentration, level of your energy etc. (well I've read it somewhere)
  22. I used to be like you but now I'm making more effort to drink fluids - here at work I have a 1.5L bottle of water on my desk so I'm better at it but at the weekend I slip up and don't drink as much - but if you do it will help your body to flush out all the nasties and stuff that cannot be processed and it will also help your skin too. I can always see it on my face on monday morning
