I really like most of the ones listed, but my favourites are : Jane Austen Pat Conroy Agatha Christie Robert Crais * Lee Child * John le Carre John Sandford * Ann Tyler (mmm....I have a lot of "C's" in there ) * if you like modern crime fiction and are bored with the "old favourites" give these a try. @ Audrey - I love the Kellermans! -

I'm so happy to find the Book Club I love to see what everyone's reading. I'm not a fan of twilight or Stephanie Meyer, but my SD loves both I am reading Killing Time by David R Dow - memoirs of a guy trying to save death row prisoners in Houston TX..just started but I'll let you know. I'm listening to Stone Cold - A Jesse Stone mystery by Robert B Parker. I love these stories ...crime, realism and humour !! Highly recommended entertaining escapism (just as good to read as to listen to) (I hope I don;t bore you to death will all my posts ) -

Wow - you all made such great choices. Mine 2 favourites are: The Prince of Tides - Pat Conroy (if you've seen the film, please read the book too as its SO much more of a story of Southern excess and excentricity) The Clockwinder - Ann Tyler (the story of a girl who becomes entwined in a family's life because they cannot exist without her) I;m gonna dig out Summer of my German Soldier though

Aww piglet that sounds rubbish and still no internet connection @ home - that wold drive me NUTS! I'm doing ok here. We seemed to have avoided most of the bad weather where I live. It's cold but dry and sunny at least. So not complaining

Yes - my decorator is 100% awesome. He sent me a the other night as he knew I was struggling for time and offered to strip the walls for very good price (since he'll be painting them afterwards) He is the MOST tidy tradesman EVER. Hiya Piglet .....how's it going ?

Hi Gill. Oh that's awful....suicide. You can't imagine what drives someone to do that So young and so talented - very sad. WF does look cute though eh ? Kijo rocks !! I sent you an e-mail with my questions for the contest btw. Have you had a good day? Mine has been depressing ...at the accountants - seeing the size of my corporation tax bill But have managed to get lots of housekeeping jobs done today and have the decorator here tomorrow to strip (the dining room walls)
