So my recommendation for April is South of Broad by Pat Conroy This is a very long novel about the lives of 8 people whose lives collide one summer in Charleston, South Carolina. I love Pat Conroy and no-one can conjure up the mystery of the South quite like him for me. The characters are beautifully drawn and the story has everything you want ...madness, suicide, religion, humour, friendship, catastophe and ...american football ! The narrative is warm and engaging and the story telling tranpsorted me right into the heart of Charleston. I'm miserable that I've finished it actually - it was wonderful and I urge you to try it. If you're new to Conroy - get the audiobook as it's unabridged and very well narrated. I totally loved it - my favourite in a very long time.

Hi....all....anyone here ? I'm pretty sure that you will be watching the footie Gill - if you read back I am watching CDWM.....with some posh bird who is so up herself! "Most woman don't like me...because I'm a threat to them" is what she said. (or...most woman don't like you because you are rude and obnoxious - is what I heard) - awful ! LOL

Really Frannie...I am totally amazed that they are not in US to be honest! I'm not brand loyal rregarding groceries and detergent at all any more! So much stuff (in Europe at least) is made in exactly the same factories with only different packaging! (although I use Fairy for my super-sensitive husband now LOL)

I don't need one.. but just what is a detergent capsule anyway? Hey Frannie. I'm great thanks. Been busy working and even managed to get some gardening in today as it has been like (whispers) "summer". So detergent capsules are little sacks of soluble plastci filled with laundry detergent - you put them straight in the machine with the clothes ...you don't have these in US (actually. I don't remember seeing them when I was there) ?? no thank you you gave me one already my kind friend xxx LOL Armell I guess detergent is the LAST thing you want then. My OH has that too - and his back comes out in welts!! ooh - hope it clears up soon
