  1. yup, the problem is sorting them. Thats where my son (Impavido) comes in, he practically remembers everything that we have, thats why the nickname 'Encyclopedia'.
  2. ...will now go and photograph the cars in the hot boxes (13 of them, more loose cars!) and later, the carded cars, which will soon be 'release' from their 'cell'
  3. This is a 6 drawer cabinet from IKEA which my wife bought for Impavido that can hold about 110 cars per drawer... still sorting. At present drawer 5 is for Jada and matchbox, drawer 6 is for HW 5 packs and Shells Ferrari's.

  5. the problem with loose cars is sorting them, especially when Impavido takes them out to play and don't put back in its 'rightful' place. We sort ours by the make of the cars, colours will be a bit difficult, won't be able to check on variations

  13. I guess if you look at the history of both these companies, you'll see that Matchbox came first (1953), and Hot Wheels came years later (1968). And in 1996, Mattel acquired rights to the Matchbox brand.
