lea75 0 Posted June 21, 2010 Morning!Been to stay and play with Phoebe, and had a great morning...playing in the sand, being force fed pretend ice-creams, and also gluing cardboard boxes together (the things you do when you are a Mum lol)Having a quick tidy up this mornig then this afternoon we are off to Music Tots, where we make musical instruments and then play them, and sing loads of nursery rhymes...so if it starts raining in the UK then you can blame my singing Hope you all have a great day Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Tiddly Winks 0 Posted June 21, 2010 Hi everyone, had an early start this morning. My husband has been having problems with his eyes (allergies and such) so we both had appointments at the eye doctor. He went to see if he could get help, I went for a routine checkup. Given that my eyes were giving me issues yesterday, I am glad (and relieved) that I went. Some really great news came from the visit, too. The doctor said that given my vision strength (around 60%), there should be no reason whatsoever for me to not get my driving license in the near future. I thought all these years that with the Nastagnus that I couldn't, but he said that I tend to look predominantly out my left eye (which is very strong), that I could go to and do it. he also said that if I get my eyes checked by a specialist, I could possibly start learning to fly!I have wanted to get my glider license for the longest time, and now it may be that I can!!!!!!!! I am so excited about this. Of course, doing both will cost a lot of money, so the job thing needs to be in order before I buy textbooks and start learning technical stuff. But, to just know that there is nothing standing in the way of me actually doing this, is nothing short of thrilling.Of course, the doctor told me that I should stay away from the things that aggravate the nastagnus though, but alas that's nothing new. I'm working during summer school, teaching 1st graders, so that will keep me busy. But it's fun seeing the "lightbulbs" go on when they finally figure something out.
