lea75 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Anyone getting excited about the Royal Wedding this Friday? Are you going to be watching it?I'm not sure if I will be watching it, but it is good to see a little excitement in the country at the moment. My girls are having a street style party at school on Thursday (school is closed on Friday!)
Lucky Strike 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I saw on the news that it's been going crazy there! Flags everywhere and generally people cheering! (I sure will see a few moments as it will be all over the tv! )
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I may watch it just to get a glimpse of the gown. I love looking at wedding dresses, even though I've still got mine, and have been married 16 years.
Gaiamaiden 0 Posted April 27, 2011 im watching it i like Prince William (not so keen on Harry lol) and i cant wait to see him get married. I love their mum princess diana too
xPink.Pixel.Princessx 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Oh deffinatly WONT be watching it. Even tho i am British and i should really be excited i have to admit im just not bothered at all.All i see in the shops and all around is something to do with them. Its just plain annoying now. I just feel like getting everything and ripping it down and smashing it to pieces.Sorry but im just really annoyed that its everywhere and all we will see on the tv Friday is the wedding. im more then likley gonna go out on my bike alll day to avoid the tv and ride somewhere where im not going to see anything to do with them. Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I watched The Princess Diaries 2 yesterday and laughed when they were looking at the pictures. Prince William is a nice looking young man (and Gadzooks I feel old saying that), but I'm 40 for goodness sakes. I hope that they will both be happy, but the wedding is sort of like the World Cup...I get tired of hearing about it, but when it actually happens, I'm right in the thick of it watching like all the other hopeless (and hopeful) romantics. lea75 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I think living in the UK that the wedding is way too commercialized! As Sarah has said there is so much commemorative merchandise out there to buy that you get really fed up of seeing it! I wouldnt mind so much if a percentage of the profits were given to charity, but it is just a money making scheme for the shops!Plus you cannot turn on the radio or tv without hearing about it, and all the comments comparing Kate to the late Princess Diana.Really fed up of hearing about it
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I would positively hate to be in Kate's shoes. It just seems a bit much for any normal person to take. They actually want to do a big screen (like for World Cup football matches) on Potsdamer Platz near Berlin on Friday. With that being the case, I can only imagine what is going on in the UK. Just yesterday, we were watching Youtube yesterday and they were advertising 'airsick' (wedding sick) bags. Some folks thought it was a bit much, others thought it was hysterically funny. It is a massively over commercialized bit, no joke. It reminds me of Yogurts line in Spaceballs...'the real money - moichendising'.
sinenomine 0 Posted April 27, 2011 I think I will watch some parts at news, for different hours I guess it will be late late night here when wedding will take placeI am curious about the wedding dress, and how her hair will look
scgrandma58 0 Posted April 28, 2011 I watched Dianna and Charles wedding and will most likely watch Kate and William. Not sure what time it's on in the US but I think it's pretty early in the morning.I can sympathize with the commercialism in the UK.There is a good bit of coverage here in the US on tv now and will only get more as the time gets nearer.I personally think Harry is alot cuter than William Have any of you watched the look alike wedding party getting married on youtube? It's pretty cute.www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kav0FEhtLug
Toulouse 0 Posted April 28, 2011 I'm recording it since I have a wedding to attend myself (no, not the royal one unfortunately). Am curious to see the dresses and all :-D

lea75 0 Posted April 28, 2011 The sun is shining now as well so hope they are having a great time! The whole school have gone dressed in red, white and blue today. Was easier said than done with Jadine, her wardrobe seems to be made up of mostly pink clothes lol
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 28, 2011 Hahaha, that's cute. Poor Jadine, needs more than just pink.
Gaiamaiden 0 Posted April 28, 2011 ive just been informed that they are filming an advert in the ASDA where i work especially for the Royal Wedding, they even have actors to play the royal couple lol will be interesting to see if it does end up on TV lol
Gabs Giggles 0 Posted April 28, 2011 I'll watch it even though it will be 4 am here xD. We've bought popcorn among other things. The good thing is I'm on vacations =P
myladyyawo 0 Posted April 28, 2011 They are airing it live here at 4 am, really doubt I'll be up until 2 hours later. I'm hoping to catch the 10am airing of it instead. I would really love to see it. Although I think I'll be watching more in envy then anything else. (sounds terrible, I know) How glamorous their wedding will be!
smorkle 0 Posted April 28, 2011 I'm really excited about this!! I'm recording it tonight (my time) and will watch it on saturday! they also have a bunch of specials on them which i'm recording as well.i watched this other kate and william movie last week. it's about how they met. it was so cute!i'm reall absurdly obsessed with them for some reason!! you gals are so lucky to be living over there! if i lived there, i'd definitively be on the streets on friday!! Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 29, 2011 I have it running, but I will not record it. I am watching all these elegant ladies entering the church in these really obnoxious hats. They are perhaps elegant, but if I tried putting a hat that size on my head, I'd probably topple over. Some of the dresses are really pretty though.
lea75 0 Posted April 29, 2011 well after all my talk of not watching it, I must admit I've put it on. My excuse is that Phoebe wanted to see it lol
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 29, 2011 I was 11 in 1981, and that was something I watched. too. Much to the horror of my older sister who was 13 and thought televised weddings were 'uncool'.
lea75 0 Posted April 29, 2011 I cannot believe that Phoebe is so interested in it! She has been sat on the floor infront of the tv for ages now! It's not something you would think a 3 year old would be interested in!
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted April 29, 2011 you should get some pictures of her. She may not remember it when she's older.

SashaGirl 0 Posted April 29, 2011 I wasn't able to stay up but did see some this morning online. She is a beautiful bride and I wish them much happiness.
sinenomine 0 Posted April 29, 2011 Watching the replay, I think that couple looks like extracted from a fashion magazine, he is really good looking and she looks just ... perfect ^^I like to watch all the people on streets really happyThose hats are so strange, some of them are really big, how can they walk near a person without hitting themI think Victoria Beckham was great but not as much as her hubby
