smilinjack 0 Posted May 5, 2011 Yeah I read this the other day. Hope for me then eh?? What gets me is they always quote someone from BRAKE to make sure there's a bit of indignant harrumphing. They're just anti motoring safety Nazis. If someone has the wit, (or money) to evade a ban fair play to them. The rest of Britain's stinking and corrupt, why should motoring be any different? Grumpyowl 0 Posted May 5, 2011 I disagree They obviously think @39 points they are above the law. Some laws are popular others are not so.and most get peed off re motoring laws,in my 37 years on the road Ive been lucky never to have more than 3 points at any one time and each time ive been done, ive been sick as a Blackpool donkey in February. But I was breaking the law and speeding,so you accept your punishment and adjust your behavour to suit.Would it be funny if the 39 pointer who should not be on the road IMHO caused an accident and someone lost there life ? smilinjack 0 Posted May 5, 2011 Of course we don't know who the driver is or what the background to it might be. I'd guess it has to be an emergency services driver or someone with a lot of money. Or Richard Hannay. And we don't know over what period of time those 39 points were amassed.

BanditMike 0 Posted May 6, 2011 Just read this. Like most I can't believe that this guy is still driving (assuming it is a man ) with 39 points on his licence. How many cases of "exceptional hardship" can you come up with? If losing your licence would cost you your job, don't speed and maintain your vehicle at the required legal levels!! Don't complain when you get caught, then ask the legal system to "look after you" and be kind. If you can't look after yourself, why should anyone else? There's too much of the "well if you do that so and so will suffer". In that case you should have thought of that before you did it!
