I've done it, got myself a new bike. I've stepped away from Suzuki and crossed to the Kawasaki side

I now have a ZX12R, in Kawasaki green obviously

It's the unrestricted one so is quite quick off the mark Soon I can get the computer to talk to the server will put some pics up. Got some on Facebook already if people want to look

It is, apparently, the unrestricted one, so no paltry slowing down at 186mph

Well done..

I like them.

I had one for sale recently, had a few plays on it.
They go real well, made a few more ponys than
a Busa but the Busa crept away top end,
(but only at VERY silly speeds)
Better brakes than a Gen1 Busa.
Nice riding position too.

Wasnt keen on the frame being the airbox
but thats not a drama unless you like chopping
and changing stuff, pod filters or turbo.

I think the restriction is only a top end speed cap.



If its unrestricted that'll make it a year 2000 model ?

If they're anything like a lot of other bikes
de-restricting a later one costs about 20p
with a resister from Tandys.

Green is always faster than blue. Same as red is the fastest Suzuki colour

And yes it's VERY different to the Bandit. brought it back from Haltwhistle yesterday (Sunday) in the rain. It dried out on the A68, near Tow Law/Toft Hill (local lads know where I mean) and I managed to open her up a little

I think it'll take a little getting used to Should be good fun though

i know where ya mean took me a bit of getting used to my Ace after me bandit i also picked mine up in torrential rain you enjoy her mike and watch that throttle till you get used to her,we'll have to have a meet up sometime

Thanks to all for the comments (apart from Tony & Grumpyowl obviously. Don't recognise the blinding speed of the green. Yet! )

Hoping to get her out for an hour or two over the weekend. Will try and get a few more pics, better lit. ie outside

Definitely going to get the wheels done green, see what it looks like

And it's gone! The Bandit has been passed to a fellow biker who will care for her and look after her. The Suzuki has now officially left my life
