These prats are worse than many drunk drivers but don't get a ban.

They continue to text because they are good drivers, the fact is they are worse than useless and put lives at risk.

I reckon it's more dangerous nowadays it's illegal [1] because people are keeping the phone down by their knee while texting to keep it out of sight. Plus the popularity of touch screen phones means that there is more danger in taking off your gloves whilst riding to use the damn thing, than there is in sending a text!

[1] Yes, I know that, as it's a distraction it has always been technically illegal, but you know what I mean.

see it all the time , a couple of weeks ago just up the road from where i live a young mother,baby and grandfather where killed by a truck driver which basically drove over there car don't know if he was using phone but he must have been distracted somehow as it's not a particularly dangerous road.
