Thanks Kasi. That's a good point, about not everything that is supposedly secret being secret. Probably explains why I don't post my life story on facebook.

Malware is a very serious theat, and unfortunatley majority of free anti-virus software programmes are not enough to protect against majority of malaware

I would seriously recommend running seperate checks on your pc every week, in addition to your normal anti-virus scans

The 2 sites I use ever week are

Trendmicro housecall (which is the one that is mentioned in that site)
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware...which can be downloaded from here
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=contentMain;contentAux

Obviously this is only my choice...but I find they are very good....especially the malearbytes...it has even found trojans on my pc that AVG anti-spyware has missed

Well, I scan my computer everyday using Shaw Secure, so I don't think there'll be a problem...I hope at least.

Thank you so much for letting me know, whenever I get a virus hubby blames how much I'm on facebook. I don't join any groups or believe messages like that, or even wall posts that are going around. They shoot red flags at me. This is helpful though, people that do those things frustrate the heck out of me! I don't save anything on my computer anymore except temporarily, I've bought a flash drive for those reasons.

just DON'T download ANYTHING! If you NEED and i mean REALLY need to download something then do it from the programs homepage and not the links all around the internet (as the video say's for the flash player... go to adobe)

Thanks for posting this Kasijab. I have just posted it on my facebook to let everyone know.

Why do people even have to make viruses,Worms.Trojans, hacks etc....Its really perthetic.

People who do that should be ashamed of themselves. They must be such loosers to sit there making thease horrible things. Id like to meet some of thease people and show them what for!!Grr.

Thanks again Kasijab. Its nice to know we have a great forum/members who like to keep all of us safe =D.
