i've tried it but to be honest i didnt like it that much.
and yes i saw the plushie but it wont be realesed till next week i guess, coz this week it wasnt, even tho it was on the spoilers, but sometimes that happens.

and i heard some rumors that the hotel city plushie will be really cheap

Iv tried it and it keeps freezing on me and wont let me save rooms, So i gave up

Well, in some games, when they are going to release something new, to check possible failures, they choose some people to try them before they release to everybody the new things, but in this case its only a plushie, so I think you are right
