    Mike was from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, a lifelong motor-cyclist. His funeral cortege went from Ilkeston to Bramcote crem. His coffin was carried in a specially adapted sidecar, with many motorcyclists escorting. His other passion was railways, he was a steam engine driver at Peak Rail, the one that you see from the A6 between Rowsley and Matlock.
