  1. Had a 1.2 punto elx with a bit exhaust told insurance about it and they wanted an extra £40 over the year so some times it IS worth telling them as any increase is minimal.
  2. It's the 'makes it smarter' that's the issue Ok it had alloys as standard but TSW's were not fitted from new so it IS modified. That said every car I've had has been modified in some way. From alloys to exhaust and even a full body kit... "Has the vehicle been modified from standard?" ... Nope! (I justify it as 'I' haven't made any modifications since I've had it). At the end of the day insurance is always a risk.
  3. 5.4 and that was more luck than judgement. Now give up
  4. No freakin way! He was a legend and like a million years old.
  5. Rear break... Done Bracket for torque arm cut, shaped and welded on. Torque arm shortened.
  6. Appreciate the work thats gone into it but I dont think it looks right.
  7. It's a 150 rear but will be replaced with a 140. I was made very aware it the difference in the old tubular steel frames verses ally ones when I rode my old 350lc back to back with my mates nc31. Bit this thing isn't being built as a race bike. It's all about the looks baby!
  8. Cheers it does don't it! Will finish it in black to try and hide it a bit better.
  9. Ok so we're changing direction with the caliper mount...again Found this on eBay for less than a fiver And it looks like this I can then with this setup use a torque bar (I know I said there's not enough space..... I'm wrong again) I could either shorten the original one or bend it a bit to clear the tyre.
  10. How many times can we vote for ourselves by PM'ing? lol
  11. Mark - we've got a plasma cutter at work but the workshop is about 10 mile from the office so I don't get over there much. Madsod - sorry couldn't resist. I know what you mean but theres not gonna be that much movement (I hope) so going for a solid mount (maybe extend the holes caliper end to allow for a little adjustment)
  12. Got my hands on some plate. Not overly interesting but it's still progress. Only had 20mins after work to play with tools as the better half is off out! But hopefully get some more time tomorrow night.
