Kenworth truck at work today......

Best bit about "Subaru" is backwards it says U R A BUS -
Did 2713k's ( 1,695 miles ) in 3 and a half days.
Only went a little bit up the East coast and back.
There's room to move about out here ! -
Jumped in the car Friday morning,
Saturday lunchtime now and I'm up at Ayr
(Going up the East coast)
1339k's ( 836 miles ) in a day and half.
Nice here. Middle of winter but still 27 degrees C.
Party tonight and start driving home tomorrow. -

I don't really know the difference on the 2 gens ,
Quite similar.
Gen 1 has the tougher motor,
More meat in the barrels and steel valves.
Gen 2 has titanium valves, an extra 35cc
(It has the B-King motor) and MUCH better brakes.
Gen 2 seems slightly more refined to ride but
there's no difference in performance when you start
to hot them up, if anything a Gen1 is better.
Lots of stuff like bodywork, subframes, wheels
are all slightly different but can be made to fit.
I quite fancy another faired Busa. -

Im with you Dave,
Took my Mrs 6 years,
4 years to get her degree
(Bachelor of Law with Honours)
then another 2 years to do her articles.
I had to do a 2 hour site induction and
didn't think I'd make it to the end ! -
Well done. Huge congrats!
I don't know how folk do it,
I find study like having teeth pulled.
Kidderminster:
"I carnt reed or rite, but I cun drive a tractor!" -
Not really fussed on the photoshop ones,
my kids do those all the time ( not that I could! )
Mate in the UK knew I'd sold my trick Katana
when I left and bought a Hayabusa out here.
He did this for me.... -

This weeks meeting has limited them to 90 something
Days a year that they are allowed to make noise.
They can't run on that many days.
I vote that if they have to close,
It's either turned into a Quarry or a Gypsy camp
after all the locals don't want a race track. -
Started letting them have the run of the whole
garden when I'm in my shed, they love it.
I'm finding my new hobby very relaxing ! -
Pledge or Mr Sheene.
Solvol Autosol or Mothers Metal polish.
WD40.
Only things that I use.
Often told they're not idea.
No dramas in the last 34 years. -
@haveugot1 wrote:Why didn't you just sweep it and repaint mike? But then again I know what you r like.
Many paints won't take to anything with oil or grease.
Unlikely to find a good finish in a shed / garage.

Managed to sneak in a quick 689k's (430 miles)
today of mostly entertaining country roads.... -

Started letting them out on an evening .
Giving them the run of the garden.
Can't do much harm, no small plants or flowers
just fruit trees, palm trees, hedges and lawn (low maintainence)
They love it !
I just keep an eye on them,
(Low fences and dog tied up)
Don't like them penned up.
Doing it on an evening they are not so keen to escape
as its near their time to roost. -
Heading North to see a relative of hers this month.
North, as in 2 long days drive.
Wasn't sure if the UK got the Ford Territory.
The big Ford Falcons are no longer going to be built
so its looking like no more Territory's as they use the Falcon mechanics and running gear.
Might go for a Mazda CX9 next. -
@BanditMike wrote:@haveugot1 wrote:Why can't we get them over here. I like that.
I don't think I would want to see the fuel cost
We wouldn't either !
Mrs has an "unlimited" BP fuel card supplied by work.
Hasn't paid for fuel in years.
That's the reason I go everywhere in her car not mine.
Only complaint she gets is that she DOESN'T do enough mileage!
The car is classed as a tax write off through her job
and low mileage doesn't justify it. Mad.
She even chose the car I wanted,
Huge boot (takes a bike without wheels and mirrors)
and has a tow bar, big engine hoiks a trailer along. -
Not exactly what I was after,
but it was only next door
and cost me a bottle of wine. -
-
Had them 7 weeks.
Mrs and the kids named them,
Delia, Doctor, Duchess and Donna !
Clipped their wings the first weekend,
not had one get out yet.
No eggs, but they are quite young (point of lay)
and it's the middle of winter here and drops down
to 5 or 6 degrees one night. They will lay when we
get longer warmer days. -
can you guess what it is ??
