  1. Woman let a trolley go down a car park here.
It hit my mates brand new car.
Mate (huge Maori) starts telling her off and writes down her rego
    for the insurance claim.
    Woman starts crying, getting histerical.
Mate gets worried, no one else near, go's to fetch his Mrs out of the shop.
When they get back she's gone.
No drama, go a rego number, puts in an insurance claim against her.

2 weeks later cops turn up at his house and caution him he's being
prosecuted for intimidation and assault !

  2. We get fox's here too,
some stupid Pommie thought they'd be fun to chase on a horse
with a pack of hounds, local wildlife had never seen a fox,
fox's thought every day was Xmas!

    Not many near me though.
Snakes might be more of a problem,
mates got chickens and biggest drama is stopping the Possum's
getting in and eatting the food.

Pen is being build pretty secure to keep my dog
    and the neighbours dogs out.
My parents have had farms / chickens all my life.
I know fox' are sneaky f#ckers but they'd have their work
cut out with this, and getting past my dog.... I hope!

  3. Still got heaps more to do, nothing by half me!
but adding up a few bill's for materials,
neither I or the hen's will ever live long enough to getting
half was towards breaking even, but thats not what its about.
Mrs thinks its wonderful, and I wanted something different to do.

  4. Fancied doing something different.
Mrs has be on about getting chickens for a while,
quite common around here, neighbour has a few and
I think your allowed up to 5 (no rooster) in the city.

Started making a pen for them.
    (only 5m x 7m hope its big enough ?
got to be better than being a battery hen !)

Got a bit carried away, ended up using 100mm thick
treated timber posts concreted 600mm into the ground, a triple hinged gate, and heavy duty / small square aviary mesh....Whoops! Laughing

Its about 31-degree's C here, but humid as hell !
Trying to build a pen so my Mrs can have some chickens !
(got to keep the woman happy... Laughing )
Every time I dug a hole or cut a bit of timber
I was soaked in sweat, clothes wet, sweat in my eye's,
god know's how much water / soft drink I've had today...

  6. he will just moan about everything in V8's now.

    Will ?

    He already has been.
He's upset some of the top names with his comments
about their poor driving, and telling the media what
some very experienced drivers should / shouldnt be doing.

Amongst other comments he said the very popular Mark Winterbottom
    was "amature" with his overtaking.

  7. Pretty good at the momment.

Floods, Cyclones and Bushfires have all gone... Laughing
hopefully for the rest of this year.

We do get some REAL extreme's but to be fair most dont last long
and overall most of the year is fine.

    This is todays forecast:

Its cooled down a little as we are heading to the
end of Summer and the start of Autumn...

Summer - Dec , Jan, Feb
    Autumn - Mar, Apr, May
    Winter - Jun, Jul, Aug
    Spring - Sep ,Oct, Nov

    Forecast today,
    26 degree's C at 9 am,
dry, possible shower later in the day.

  8. If you remember the old days / old bikes and Haynes Manuals
it was common the see different specs for Europe / US / Australia
bikes. I'd be looking to see if the ECU maps are the same?
It would be a very easy and cheap for the factory in Japan to
load different maps and A/F settings to suit another markets
suitability or noise / pollution specs.

Not saying they do, but worth thinking about.

California is the strictest state for emissions. Not 100% sure on cars but bikes have an Evap system fitted to reduce unused fuel vapour escaping into the atmosphere and catching it through a charcoal canister.

California is certainly the strictest, but some models are sold
across the US as "California Spec" as its more cost effective
    to only market one model.

  10. The point I tried to make earlier, was if buying through a official
importer, you will be notified of all recalls and safety issues, even
if the dealer you bought from closes down. If you buy from an
independent importer (who may or may not be there in 12 months)
will you be told if there are failings from any mechanical issues?
Will the official importer have you on their list and will they
stand the bill if the independent isn't there or won't?
I have recently had a new rectifier fitted free of charge (on a 5
year old bike) mate recently had a GSXR frame braced under
warrantee on an even older bike. Bike shops come and go, even
the big names. Will the official imported come and find you and
    look after you?

Not saying do or don't, just asking.

  11. Some US bikes get extra immissions equipment fitted.
B-King certainly does in some states.

Some US bikes get different ECU's.
We had a CBR1000 with no keys (they are chipped to the ECU)
from the auctions, it was cheaper to get an ECU from the US
because that model didn't come with the immobiliser there.

I've had a US import in the UK,
I'm not against them, but do your homework
    and know what your getting.

  12. Dave, Take my rant with a big pinch of salt.

I don't like the King/Gen2's back torque limiter,
but to be fair there's a lot of owners quite happy with it.
The fact the bits are there to "fix" it tells me I'm not alone,
the fact most folk dont, tells me I'm in a minority.

I'm not total anti-BTL's, I just don't like the one I have in the King.
The 1400 and Gen1 Busa feel quite different.
Mines been in bits, cleaned and checked but still the same.
