  1. evidently this is only a third of it but the chap that took it says stick the headphones on and crank up the volume because he placed the microphone in the tail section to cut down wind noise
  2. i cant understand why you tried to reason with a Range Rover owner A mate of mine used to get me the address of owners if i gave him the reg plate, that way you can decorate their vehicle for them at leisure
  3. Managed to get 130 dry sunny miles in yesterday so well on the way to getting this new engine run in or at least nearer the 600 mile service. Was slightly concerned with the handling as the whole bike would dive into corners suddenly and was noticeable on the first few roundabouts where it would lean nicely then tip in and dive giving a few panty moments This could be due to the flattened off state of the rear tyre from the few wet miles i did manage last year and being a 55 profile they do flatten off easy. Need to do some track days to even the wear out a bit. I have also lost nearly 2 stones since last year so the K-tech internals that were tuned to my old weight are probably all wrong for me now so some more fiddling to do, again a track day with a suspension specialist there is well worth the money as i haven't got a scooby what nobs for what Towards the end of yesterdays ride things had calmed down a bit so some of the problem could have been workshop crap on the tyres. Took this picture along the B6047 six miles from melton Mowbray a great road once but badly potholed now and well patroled https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=8&u=18129577

Ha ha Tony yes there was a "disturbance in the force" when i sold the gixer but having just got married for the first time at that point i was emmotionally unstable and did some really stupid things
  6. Thanks Stu, yes i was dead chuffed as i had spent some time and money getting it there just like other bikes on here they are our pride and joy. Ive never been one for "keeping it standard", each to their own but i get my enjoyment from doing mods. Got an underslung rear brake to fit now then its about complete. As if it ever will be lol
  7. Here are some scans of the article PB did of my bike last April where Emma Franklin took it for a spin, loved it then it blew up 3 weeks later I asked her if this normally happens and she checked her insurance lol. As you can see the picture was de faced by a friend and this sort of action i most severely DO condone. Its what biking is all about IMO https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=7&u=18129577 https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=4&u=18129577 https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=5&u=18129577 https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=6&u=18129577 I was well impressed, thought i might get half a page but not 5, slow time of the year obviously. The bikes changed a bit since then with better Moriwaki exhaust and a sigma slipper clutch now. Might go back to this colour scheme but thats just bling and i love bling

I think I recognize that SP.... Did you ever going into Hein Gericke a while ago? yes went to the one in Leicester just before xmas but was off road for most of last year re building. The old engine was a monster with high comp pistons as well as the other tuning but like a t**t i took my eye off the oil level during a weekend in Wales last April and the damage was done. Two weeks later the front exhaust cam snapped due to badly worn retainers and the other cams were badly scored so that meant two new cylinder heads as well. Ive got all the bits i need to re build a standard engine but managed to pick up a brand new still in the Honda crate engine for £1050 then had that one tuned minus the HC pistons this time. Just running it in now.

Hi, I'm Steve a new arrival from Leicester with my beloved Honda SP1 that i've had for over 7 years now and wont ever part with it. Started in 1979 with a Suzuki X5 then in 1984 got a Yamaha TR1 and in 1989 a GSXR1100J. Got married and sold the bikes got divorced in 2004 and bought the silver SP1 following year. The bikes has been heavily modded and appeared in Performance Bikes last April and subsequently blew up a month later Just totally rebuilt with a brand new engine, gas flowed, ported and re profiled cans but only a mild tune. Still running her in weather permitting done 200 miles since November. Despite all the mods i still cant ride her properly but love tinkering so i did. I'm not much into the racing scene but do like amateur meets at Mallory and track days at Donington. Roll on spring
